Ha North Dakota State. An FCS school that's won back to back Nat Champs. Has to be the first time in history a major conference champ has lost to an FCS school. History happened tonight.

From Big XII champs to... that

Was Klein that important to them? Who else did they lose? I heard some pundits on the radio earlier in the week warning that this could happen. North Dakota State is legit. Back to back FCS Champs. Also, a stat I just pulled off of Wikipedia (must be true):

  • 2010: (1-0) Kansas (Big 12) 6-3 W
  • 2011: (1-0) Minnesota (Big Ten) 37-24 W

Not bad.

Why do schools schedule really good FCS teams?

Michigan with App. State
UM with Jacksonville State
now K-State with NDSU

It's a no-win situation. If you win, you beat an FCS school. If you lose, it's potentially crippling for a program.

Not bad.

They only returned 8 starters from last year.......but 7 of the 8 were on offense, so obviously Klein was that important to them.

Who's been saying all along that the Big 12 is weak and overrated??

Outside of Oklahoma the Big 12 is average at best. Bottom tier SEC caliber teams.
