NDSU in year 1 of FBS goes out to Air Force and beats them. Even with that altitude.

Delaware goes out to Vandy and almost beats them in year 2 of FBS.

You think RU could do either of those right now?

I really believe we have fallen so far that we may not even make the FCS playoffs.

Keep an eye on the Delaware coach.

Carty is definitely someone you should keep an eye on. Somerville guy, if I remember correctly, who is doing a very good job at UDel.

Imagine Delaware becomes the next App State and JMU success story

yet another example of great coaching elevating a program with less NIL as RU, worse facilities, worse conference.

Jim Mora at UConn is another.

How about little ole Tulsa beating Ok St who just beat Mighty NIL Oregon!

Carty barely played at UD. In 3 years he was 5/12 with 0 TD and 1 INT. He was named team captain for 2006 and then some putz named Joe Flacco stole his starting job. None of this is to throw shade at Ryan.


As a HC, he's 34-18 and 20-12. He had Jo Jo Berbudez on the roster until Jo Jo transferred to Temple.

Also like that he was KC Keeler's OC at Sam Houston State. They had Mike Dare, who transferred from the Ash Error to SHSU. Mike got hurt and medically retired.

Some worthwhile reading on Ryan. He's coached with some greats, including Chip Kelly. His Dad is in the NJ coaches hall of fame, and he has 2 brothers who are football coaches.

With B1G $$$ and recruiting base, Rutgers can get a good coach.
