I am a long time supporter of this site and good friends with the creators. Thank you to the frequent participants on this board for making me laugh my *** off on a daily basis. I don't post often, but felt compelled to today after a big win yesterday in Oxford. I am a resident of a quiet, Mayberryish northeastern Mississippi rural town and my only newspaper delivery option is the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal. I use the internet as my main sports news source...but my daily dump time (sacred to those with kids) doesn't feel complete without the sports page. I'll be heading to the pot starting tomorrow with my new android phone - starting a new tradition after decades of having the sports page at my disposal. I cancelled my newpaper subscription today. I'm hoping it doesn't affect my regularity which is spot on...like clockwork. Now to the crux: I have never read a paper with a decent circulation that is so obviously bias in its coverage of one major university (up north) when two such universities are nearly equidistant to the city in which the paper is printed (Tupelo, birthplace of Elvis). I say all of the foregoing to reach this conclusion - I am ready, willing and able to participate in a 2 on 1 cage match fight with Brad Locke and Parrish Alford. HD6 please set this up. I'm so happy six pack took Locke's blog off the site. He attempts to disguise his gross ineptitude with smart *** commentary and the frequent use of a thesaurus. Phelps or whoever the sports editor is at this rag should be ashamed. This is a substantive criticism - let's not get into the number of type-o's contained in each wonderful issue of the Daily Journal. Sweet Baby Jesus help me!
