I had some hope that adding the PAC schools would help our baseball program a little bit. Hope it plays out that way.We were picked to finish 4th in the Big Ten this year UCLA, Oregon and USC.
We've had a great start to the season. Today's game might be our toughest test this year. Good luck to them. Ill be game casting it at work. GBR.Nebraska 3-0
playing Stanford tomorrow
The last time Nebraska baseball started 3-0 was the 2005 season.Nebraska 3-0
playing Stanford tomorrow
Thats too bad. They tried. They left so many on base. Just a bad first inning.11-6 Stanford. final
Were still in Basketball mode. Always great to beat a ranked team down south in baseball. Not sure if anyone noticed but Nebraska baseball won today. Stomped the Seminoles
Interesting. My daughter and her husband currently live in Breckenridge, CO and it is ridiculously expensive so they are looking for an affordable area with snowboarding and biking trails. Bend is one they have been talking about. He works for a ski lifting company in Breck and she has her own technology business so she can work from anywhere. What can you tell me about the area?I just bought my tickets for the Husker game at Eugene on April 10. I thought they would come to U Dub, but they are not. I bought two tickets in the fourth row next to the Husker dugout for $10.00 each. I had to buy two tickets to get the aisle ticket. Would 2 tickets at Haymarket be that cheap and easy to buy today? I think the Duck fans sell out Autzen for football, but so far women's basketball, volleyball and now baseball are really cheap and easy to get. On the other hand, U Dub tickets for all sports are much higher priced and harder to get.
I will go down to Bend, Oregon and ski Batchelor a couple of days and then drive over to Eugene. If they have snow. The Northwest all the way to Sun Valley just hasn't gotten the snow this year. It is 49 degrees and sunny at my house as I write this. I am skiing at our local hill on mostly manmade snow. It is getting monotonous skiing the same main run over and over again. This past Tuesday the chair that goes to the summit had an electrical issue. That forced us to use a chairlift off by itself that has a temporary offloading ramp because there is not enough snow to go on to the regular offloading ramp. That shortened run only has 600 vertical feet, so I skied 9 runs in 1.5 hours and went home.
Good thing they stomped them, the bull pen so far doesn't seem capable of holding a tight lead. Not sure if anyone noticed but Nebraska baseball won today. Stomped the Seminoles
That’s been the weak spot entering the season.Good thing they stomped them, the bull pen so far doesn't seem capable of holding a tight lead.
Not sure. We could give you the worst 5 players on our basketball team. That ought to be a pretty significant upgrade for you guys.does your conference give out ooc trophies?
k-state 15 iowa 6
k-state 24 penn state 5
k-state 5 N 3
k-state 10 michigan 6
I'm not the person you asked, but Bend is amazing. Very sunny climate, dry...not really like western Oregon at all, more like Colorado. Mt Batchelor is close, great ski area. Downtown is super cool, lots of breweries and interesting stores everywhere. Only about 100k population, but if they like the outdoors and if they live in Breckenridge, I am guessing they do....Bend will feel very familar.Interesting. yeah, after all N beat k-state 86-85. so it wouldn't take much, i guess. Not sure. We could give you the worst 5 players on our basketball team. That ought to be a pretty significant upgrade for you guys.
Damn really? I forgot that score but obviously you haven't. I mean a W is a W. I apologize for bringing up something so obviously emotional for you.yeah, after all N beat k-state 86-85. so it wouldn't take much, i guess.
I am 70 and I have been going to Bend for years. My older cousins on my father's side lived there as kids. Bend has really grown over the years. The city itself now has a population over 100,000. Bend is famous for outdoor activities. The Deschutes River flows right through town. Good for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. Bike trailsd all over town. Their ski area, Mt Bachelor is about 30 miles out of town (Lots of road bikers on the road to the hill when I go there to ski in the spring.) Skiing Batchelor is a lot like Breck (My cousin had lived in Breck since 75) lots of beginner and intermediate runs for the tourists with great harder runs off the summit chair and the Outback chair. Bachelor is a volcano There are lots of volcanic mountains in the area. The Three Sisters (3 separate mountains) and Broken Top. The problem with the summit chair that goes up to an elevation of 9000 ft is it gets closed a lot due to wind and bad visibility. When it is open it has spectacular above tree line skiing. Because of its high elevation Bachelor stays open to the end of May. I've had a really great May skiing and always end my ski season there. Bend is famous for lot of breweries. It has an elevation of 3600 feet, high for the Northwest. Mountains on the west and sagebrush covered high desert to the East. In the area surrounding Bend there are lots of irrigated fields with hay being the primary crop. It gets much hotter than Breck in the summer, into the nineties but cools down at night. It can get cold and have snow (Not this year the Northwest is experiencing a snow drought) in the winter. Lots of sunny days. It has a gigantic new Costco and has all the stores like Trader Joes as well. It also is well known for having several world class golf courses. Real estate is high in Bend. Maybe not as high as Breck but pretty close. Nearby Sisters is pretty high too. I would think Redmond, where the airport is located, would be more affordable and it is close to Bend. Further out are the towns of Prineville, Powell Butte, Terrebonne and Culver. Madras is 50 minutes north and is primarily a farm town, but they are putting new homes in it as well. I personally liked it a lot better 20-40 years ago. Less people and not as developed. It is only a day's drive from Sacramento and the Bay Area so lots of California people have moved in.Interesting. Pitching struggles today losing 15-4.Our starting pitchers might be a problem this year. Truely awful 1st inning of game 2. Auburn up 4-0. Start of the 2nd inning.
Yeah.. it was brutal to watch.Pitching struggles today losing 15-4.
4 run error and free bases. Need to quit helping the other team out.Another brutal inning for the Husker Defense. What a joke. Do we always have to go down 4 or 5 runs to start every ******* game?
GTFOH.. players are never mentally prepared.
