When does Nebraska contract with Adidas ends and will they look at Under Armour as their new gear apparel just like Wisconsin? They need to end their contract with Adidas and go with Under Armour or Nike as Adidas apparel sucks and stale.

I would be OK with staying with Adidas or going with Under Armour. Do not want Nike.
I also do not want Micheal Jordan uniforms...or Nike for that matter, I buy Plenty of Under Armour and love their clothing but I'm not sure not I believe at least another 4 or 5 years before Adidas contract ends.
I believe they can end their contract with Adidas and go with either Under Armour or Nike if they wanted.
I'm sure Michigan regrets having to host Micheal Jordan and Derek Jeter for the debut of the jumpman Nike uniforms. The recruits they had in probably hated meeting MJ and Jeter as well. Winking

Adidas actually seems to be making a come back. I see "three stripe life" all over
Adidas never was in a place to come back to, unless we are going back to soccer!
Elaborate on " we have to much history for an upstart". Kids these days don't care about history. Most of 5 and 4 star players don't choose a school based on history. They care about if they're winning now, location, coaching, and the cool factor example the cool looking uniforms, shoes, and helmets which adidas does not have. Adidas should pull and their gear from college football, boring and stale.

A few years ago I would have agreed with you and said we needed to leave Adidas. Now, I think we should stay. Adidas' football dept. has really stepped up their game in the past 18 or so months. Their cleat line was by far the best this year and their design for our alt uniforms are pretty damn cool. I'd say stick with Adidas unless UA or Nike offer more cash.
I am with you on not wanting to go to Nike. Their stuff is poorly made and why would anyone want to support the Duck's Uncle, Phil Knight and his company? I like Adidas but UA would be OK
i think i read somewhere that this is the last year of the contract with Adidas. So we'll know by the end of the season.
Nike. Everyone else rips off most of their ideas. Such a free soles, flywire, flyweave etc.
It isn't all about recruits though. It's also about the guys acutally using the gear itself.
IMO the main reason NU has stuck with Adidas is that their support infrastructure is phenomenal.
Nike's stuff may be nice looking out of the box but unless you are Oregon anything you need custom or otherwise in the category of being not "off the shelf" it can sometimes take a few days and I don't know for sure but assume UA is the same or longer.
Adidas has a representative with an office on our campus and they get anything the team needs asap.
For example; A couple years ago Kenny Bell had a foot problem where he needed a special shoe insert ordered and shipped in. In order to play. He had them before practice the next day.
Well, be careful what you wish for, Berkshire Hathaway bought Russell Athletic a few years ago, and they sponsor a few D1 teams(Georgia Tech, etc) so they may try to get a hat in the Nebraska cash cow.
A few things on the Michigan move (back) to Nike/Jordan from Adidas:
1) About a year before the deal was made the Michigan AD did a poll (full census) of (then) current student-athletes and it was almost unanimous in favor of Nike (over 90%).
2) Nike's offer was actually the lowest of the 3 but it wasn't that significantly lower. Michigan took it for brand value (see bullet #1)
3) While in most sports it simply about preference, in basketball there is a shadier reason it matters...for higher end recruits, school choice can be "influenced" by which brand that player "expects" to sign a shoe contract with when they go pro. Yes it is unethical and often short sited by the kid (most won't go to the NBA) but it happens.
4) Maybe it's because of Jumpman, but the support from Nike has been beyond phenomenal. They've even gone as far as designing a line of khakis for Harbaugh. Nike not being responsive is not only not a problem but thus far they have gone above and beyond.
5) The response from the recruits has been more than positive. Most of the gear is a reminder to me that I'm getting older (I do not like much of it) but the kids are tweeting about it (etc.) and at a recent recruiting event lined up to buy (they were charged) the gear at a pop-up store meant for them...and then took pics of each other that they sent out in social media. (#)Jumpman is even being used as a hashtag when recruits contact each other.
