Not sure we’ll ever see days like those again. 😢🤬
That pitch by Taylor on the second possession was wicked good.

Great Memories , not the reality we are faced with today.

There is nothing that would indicate we ever be anything but the Big's doormat. Most won't like that statement, but you have rose colored glasses if you think this things turning around any time soon.

Every off season we think a great revelantion will occur only to have that bubble burst the first game of the year.

Brings a tear to the eye. I'm so thrilled we tried to be like everybody else to win four whole games.

Things can improve dramatically with the right coach. Just look at how our defense improved from pathetic in 2007 to great in 2009. Pelini just couldn't sustain it because of poor recruiting.

So much fun to watch! Sanders was amazing. Dykes was excellent. Gundy was terrible. But for Nebraska, the defense was aggressive and firing after the ball, and the offense completely dominated the line, giving Clark holes and Taylor, who had a pretty touch, lots of time.

Bring in a good coach and things can turn around very quickly. This has been proven time and again.

Not to be a smartass.

Other than the great tradition, why would you expect NE to be especially good at football over the long term? Or why any better than, say, KS or IA? ....Not a ton of population in any of these states. HS football is probably not what it once was. And tt's probably a tough to recruit kids from CA or FL like back in the old days when NE on top of the world.

I guess if you wanted to look at an outlier as a role model, you might look at OK. To be honest, OKs continued relevance is somewhat surprising.

I remember I was with my dad while he was at "the garden" that day. We were across town and he was digging up potatoes and carrots and picking tomatoes. I was at the station wagon listening to the game as a teenager. Ken Clark and Barry Sanders mostly matched one another that day. Without watching the entire video, I am pretty sure they both had over 200 yards that day, but Clark had more.

Like it or not, we are stuck with this clown for awhile. We would have to pay Frost 22M to go away.

Even if they Fire Scott, hiring a new Coach that can turn this around s not a guarantee. Heck we've tried 5 coaches since Osborne .

Since Osborne, we only really tried 1 time, and that was with Frost(which turned to be a total failure and high risk in hindsight with only a 1 year wonder). All the other tries, we were too cheap and timid to go after solid proven coaches and took big risks with unproven college HCs.

OK's close proximity to Dallas metroplex probably doesn't hurt.
