Nebraska is first in the West and in the drivers seat.

Wisconsin just lost to Michigan and they have Ohio State next. We are 2-0 with Indiana and Purdue next. After Ohio State they have Iowa before we head to Camp Randall so in short we are sitting really pretty right now. We're hurt but we can rested up and concentrate on getting better before Wisconsin while they'll keep getting beat up. I know in the past the schedule makers haven't done us any favors but this year I think they set us up pretty good.

Hate to be negative, but might need Wisky and Iowa to lose 3 for Nebraska to make the CCG. If we had Wisky here I'd be a little more confident.

It's a month away, but we should be able to outscore Wisky, even on the road. Ohio State should soften them up for us. We're no slouch regardless of the sky is falling crowd. We do need to heal. Thank God for the bye week.

It'll be interesting. Wisky looks to be the best team in the west but there's a lot of football to be played. If we finish 10-2 and don't make the big ten champ game, I'm ok with that. Not ideal, but not bad for year 2

Wisconsin is the team we need to worry about. The point of my post is we need to get the tiebreaker against them. And team condition wise we should be a lot better than them come game time at Camp Randall. Because whoever lose that game has to have the other one lose two to overcome the tiebreaker. And the chances of them having three conference losses is going to be better than us having three conference losses. So in my opinion were sitting in a win-win situation right now with Wisconsin. We just need to keep winning.

There is no drivers seat yet..
Yeah there is and we're in it.

W- @Michigan State
L- @Michigan
Ohio State
@Iowa
Nebraska
@Northwestern

Northwestern is going to be really hard for them to get out of there with a W after that schedule.

Toughest part of our schedule is still coming. Wouldn't overlook Minnesota. Or Indiana for that matter...

Agree 100 percent, but I'm not sure i've seen enough up to now from us to think we're better than Wisky. Record be damned after we play them, I worry about competing with OSU, who we're going to see twice this year I think.

Just win baby!! I would be happy as hell with a 10-2 season and the west division crown.

I would agree they're the best defensively, but certainly not offensively

The scenario I was thinking is we might not end up seeing Ohio State in the championship game it might be Michigan??? After beating Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio State could be undefeated for that last game and playing for the title spot. We could lose to Wisconsin and Ohio State and still get in if Wisconsin drops one more game... Northwestern anyone.

Today wasn't fun but we did show extreme toughness after injuries and all the distractions this past week. This kind of game can really pay dividends down the road! Hope we can get healthy during this bye week. Carter will probably be out for a while? Great game Newby!!!

Our last two games have really shown how tough and gritty this team is.

GBR!

I guess all you are doing must be fun for you. Speculation and all that has its place. Players will need to play better, cover better, tackle better, make better decisions in each and every game. Indiana is the next game in two weeks. The coaches will plan for them, that is all they can control. I know you don't think anyone can beat us but only a fool would believe that to be true. This team has not played a complete game to date against fairly mediocre teams. Still too many mistakes that against good to great teams will be insurmountable. I am very happy to be 5-0 but there is still much work to be done.

Until this D shows they can consistently stop someone instead of bowing their necks in the Red Zone then it is going to make the job of winning the division much more difficult. There were many times today I was underwhelmed with our D. I think if I see one more out pattern towards the sidelines for 8-12 yards I will go crazy.

I have always been a Newby fan. He is the most complete back we have without doubt. I loved the way he ran today.

I am very glad that we opened the car door and will attempt to put the key in the ignition. We have the keys.
