I've said it for awhile, youth basketball in Omaha is way ahead of where it was 20 years ago. Hopefully soon the talent level gets to the point that Nebraska gets a kid out of Omaha every year.

Yawn. First, we have to get these kids to commit to NU rather than Creighton or a ton of other schools who have real basketball programs. Why would any of these kids pick NU? Seriously? Why? We have a lame duck coach and decades and decades and decades of horrific basketball. I don't think most Nebraska fans get how truly awful our basketball program is.

Until we are able to lure a top tier coach to Lincoln we will continue to be the worst D1 power five program in the history of college basketball

I apologize for thinking this was a great story for reasons other than its potential impact on NU basketball. Can't imagine what I was thinking.

Regarding the other programs minus Creighton, for the same reasons a lot of kids go to a school close to home, so mom and other family members can see them play.

Regarding getting them away from CU, well a good start would be playing an appealing style of ball offensively, because as of now, Nebraska is not even close. Second, you've got to actually offer one, and when you do, dont offer it too early and then in essence pull the offer. Don't think that little screwup isn't going to linger for a few more years OR until Miles is gone.

Surprised that Doluony hasn't been offered an Asst coach position here. Sounds like the type of coach that is needed.
