Well, is he gonna be healthy for fall? If so, sign him up. Sounds smart and tough and I'll take that all day.

Sam McKowen is a petty sports writer. He stole a story and reported it in an ugly manner about Williams and about Marrow. Instead of spinning it only about UK, he should have mentioned the other schools the grad is investigating, but he wanted to relive the kid's weak moment, then point out he has started 4 games, and take a swipe at Marrow. I hope McCoward is a student journalist, because he does not write like a grown man.

The Marrow was not offered a full-time position at NU line should be seen by Husker fans as a slam to the former HC and not Marrow, but I am sure that is not how it was intended.

Could care less what Husker Nation thinks of this or anything else Coach Marrow has undertaken on our behalf. They are just a bunch of butt sore has beens, still making a living off Dr. Tom's legacy, which admittedly, is quite a legacy, but only a legacy in any event. Now, cue the Husker with the "better a has been, than a never was" crack...

They are the Indiana of college football. They are irrelevant and have been for a decade plus. They are trying to flex their muscle by picking on the little guy.

If he is healthy enough to go this season sign him up. Ill take a DT who has been through years of a Big 10 strength & conditioning program and could play right away at a spot where we could use some depth. I see no down side here!

If he can add a little depth for 2016 and, in doing so, preserve the RS for Looney and/or Cross, I say take him. Plus, he had decent numbers his sophomore year, and, considering the quotes in the article above, he seems to have a chip on his shoulder, so he may be a hard worker & fairly productive this next season.

Bring him on if healthy. He's gonna get plenty of snaps if he comes here. We need as much help as we can get on the DL.

Lawrence Phillips and Jason Peter say hello. Dr Tom is a wimp for playing those guys after multiple physical altercations with students including females. The fact nu fans whitewash his legacy shows all I need to see.

While that's true, it's also true they have been considerably less relevant nationally than they were in the 90s, no? So, I'd say the comparison to IU basketball is fairly accurate.
As irrelevant as they've been - & I mostly disagree - they were still more relevant than UK & not pathetic - my point.

Need to see what? He hasn't been their coach for nearly 20 years. Nothing to do with the last 10.

I agree with you there is no comparison to UK in regards to relevancy, and I also agree that I would love to see Stoops have the kind of "mediocre" success over the next 10 years that Neb has had over the last 10.

9 win seasons = 5
10 win seasons = 3

Divisional conference crown = 5

Yeah, that wouldn't be too bad. Actually, after looking over those numbers a little closer, I may have to agree with you - that isn't very "irrelevant" at all. My initial point was more about relevance specifically regarding national title contender, which they haven't really been.

The fact they had absolute roided out psychos beating the ish out of people and everyone in that town turned a blind eye. Loss of respect for him as a person shouldn't soften with time. Every time I hear Peter talk about how bad a person he was I shake my head at the fact some people act like Oz is a good person.

So once again certain posters ignore the thread title and go off topic like usual.

Will he be healthy enough to be a contributor?
That certainly is the #1 question...... While it doesn't read like the young man suffered from the same injuries, he does seem to possess, bad luck, regarding injuries in general... Could be he's looking for a change his last year and it appears UK has time and the stage to make a switch to SEC ball an interesting choice for someone looking to change their luck........

I think he sees the writing on the wall at Nebraska that he may not play all that much this year. Nebraska has some young DT's that look to make an impact this year and with Williams sitting out spring ball with an injury, he may not feel he has a chance to see much playing time. If it works out for you guys, I hope he does well, he has had an injury filled career which is unfortunate because when healthy he is a pretty good player.

He is a young man with a good deal of talent but injuries haven't let that show. At this point not likely a difference maker for any team he is on but can provide depth for a team.

If he ends up at UK, treat him well and you'll be happy with him as a person and player. His injuries stopped him from a potential next level career, IMO.

UK wishes they had NE's record for the last 10 years.

I missed the argument that UK was better than Neb over the last 10 years. Was that made someplace?

Or are you attempting with a strawman argument to defend NU's record over the past ten years claiming it has acually been relevant?

if this happens I'm really happy for you vhcat70, we all know about your D line concerns above everything else
[laughing]

Uh, that phase passed. It is now onto defending the football integrity of Nubrawska.

(Husker fans, just having some fun. Got no beef with ya and love your new coach)

Given the state of UK DL recruiting...this kid, even with a RS year to get physically better, is a better option than what we have in pipeline.

He has no RS year to get better he was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA over the winter.

Assuming we have room for him from a scholarship standpoint, and also that he's medically cleared to play, it looks like a one-season, low-risk, medium-to-high reward scenario for the UK FB program.

Appreciate the feedback here. From reading some Nebraska threads,it looks like most on your board were hopeful he could stay healthy and contribute for you this year. It seems you had two DT's leave early and are thin there.
Can you, provide some feedback on his injuries? Looks like two separate knee issues. Assuming ACL's? Wrist was the latest? Assume that was broken last year?

The in advance
