With that one loss to Southern Miss at home, right?
LOL!
That was the old way of doing business. Coach Riley will have use prepared to play. The game we lose will be Miami or maybe Wisconsin at home. Wisconsin has shown they reload and play hard. Michigan State will be tough but i think we will take them this year in Lincoln. All our big games are in Lincoln except Miami. The crazy head scratching upsets are behind us. Let's do this!!!

Geez! He needs to win before claiming to be a great coach. He had losing records at Oregon State. Over/under on wins this year 7. We have no quarterback. We will see in three years no very optimistic. No CCG this year sorry.

Not sure we have the QB or the defensive depth to accomplish this. Hope you are correct.
I think Tommy will play up to and within Riley's coaching. The defense will definitely be thin but aggressive play should give us that much needed edge. Too many time we played small not wanting to get beat. Playing aggressive yet smart will 9 times outta 10 allow you to be successful.

Its all definitely possible. Cant say for sure it won't or will happen. In the West we are as capable as any team in the West. Biggest thing is Lee and our OLine. If those two are any good and our defense comes along quickly under our DC. We definitely have a shot. But we will need some help with The Badgers as there schedule is....well weak.

But someone saying your crazy for saying we will win the West, is just as crazy thinking we have no shot at all. Now winning the Big 10 and making the playoff. No idea there, we would definitely have to have a solid defense and our offense will have to be as balanced as possible. Thats my opinion.

Lol just now realized this was an old thread and not about this season. Why the hell did we bump this thread?? Honestly?
It's just Charlie being Charlie. RollingLaugh

But seriously, with all our depth and roster issues we were 7-0 and ranked just outside the top five and a no call on Westy from beating Wisconsin at Camp Randall in overtime. Yet some continue to take shots at me for supporting our Huskers???

In my opinion the gut punch loss to Wisconsin changed the whole dynamic of the season. Up to that point we were playing damn near 100% on heart with all the injuries.

So in other words, that was a good reason for the season to turn sour? It had more to do with the teams we were playing, the schedule got tougher. I am not sure what your definition of "playing with heart" as it is a nice cliche but the reality is you have to have ability and be coached well at the same time. You have been watching too many movies. Yes there were injuries last year but they were finally exposed athletically. Like it or not...........

Winning for Sam played a huge role.

Except when they started losing.

They went 7-0 due to a weaker schedule.

As soon as they stated playing better teams they went 2-4.
It must really suck to be a Husker fan these days for some??? The hatred for Eichorst with the lack of respect for Riley is misplaced. We all can finally see what Bo did to the roster yet some refuse to relent.

I'll never understand the guys who defended Bo at every turn only to trash the team and Riley???
