OK, here's my deal.

Me and some friends were all pumped ready to go to Atlanta, booked rooms and were going to the Peach Bowl.

Next we get selected for the Gator Bowl, and they all back out on me saying "Its too far to drive" etc... blah blah
Yeah, I know I have some crappy fairweather MSU friends. Some of the crew's wife/gf didnt want to go to Jax as well and wanted to stay closer to home for New Years etc.... Im sick of hearing excuses.

So, now I have a dilema, I WANT to go to the game BAD. I dont have a ticket or hotel room. Im having trouble finding anybody to go with, and am to the point of driving by myself to Jacksonville.

If I were to go to the game alone
A. Would it be easy to pick up a ticket from scalpers outside the statium, or should I try to get one online
B. Will I be able to get a room if I wait until next week or later??

Thanks for any input you can give me.

is to start drinking heavily. But in all seriousness hotel rooms are flying off the shelf so I would go ahead and book one. As far as tickets go I would order one through the gator bowl's website so you are guranteed a ticket. I mean its a long way to Jacksonville you don't want to be 17ed when you get there.

I went ahead and bought a plane ticket, a ticket to the game, and made reservations at some damn hotel that I don't know where in the hell it is, nor do I know how I'm going to get to it from the airport...and no telling how much money I'm going to spend and I don't have it right now...but I don't give a damn...let it roll...life's short.

At least you wouldn't be alone and you'd have a room AND you wouldn't have to worry about getting lost!

Do you have a link to this, or is it on the Gator Bowl website?

I have a friend who lives in Florida who said he will meet me there If I decide to go, so I wont be alone. Im just dreading driving over 10 hours alone.

I use Cincinatti Riverfront Ticket Exchange for my tickets. Ask for Rachel or Amanda. They work nationwide with all venues and games and do an excellent job. Tell them their Colorado friend referred you.

Marriot has a number of hotels still with vacancies. Try the Springhill Suites at the airport. I just cancelled there because I decided to stay at St. Simons.

I suspect you can find a ticket at the venue but it's just as easy to call a broker like Cincy, etc. There are some on Ebay. Of course there's Stubhub and Ticketmaster.

8 - 10 hour drive. Go for it. </p>
