Southern chicken Biscuit

Yes the Southern Chicken Biscuit at “McDonalds”
Feel fortunate that you live in a region where such delicacies are offered. As a misplaced Mississippian our purveyor of the Golden Arches doesn’t offer this “regional” delight.
Try it with a side of hash browns and a large diet coke or coffee if you are in the need of a shot of joe to get going in the morning.
I know it seems common place but you need to relish the finer matters of living in the South.

If you want the best breakfast in the south go out of your way to Abe's in Corinth. You won't be disappointed.
Other than that Cracker Barrel is your only choice.

What's wrong with the Vaiden Truck Stop???

Seriously, there may be a hidden gem somewhere around there but I'm guessing all of your options are going to be basically the same. Breakfast platter fromn a truck stop or huddle house type establishment.

If you are looking for Eggs Benedict and Mimosas, you are going to be...

disappointed.

In all honesty, the 55-35 Truck Stop in Vaiden will probably be as good as anything you will find. I can say without hesitation, avoid the Waffle House & Huddle House in Winona. Grenada has a Cracker Barrel now, I think..

There isn't much hidden anything between Winona and Vaiden. Not a damn thing for breakfast except the Vaiden truck stop (which I think burned recently) and the places on 82 in Winona. If you are looking for a good lunch from the possible "hidden gem" variety, there is a place in the old rail depot in Winona that I've heard about (never tried it)... But that's about all I know of.

thanks, oh and Godfather....

I can work with truckstop food, eggs benedict mimosas? uh, no. if there was a hidden gem with breakfast like Flowood has with Primo's or Joe's Diner, I would have been grateful.

Godfather, I went there 20 years a ago once when it was, what, Showgirlz?

I live in Grenada, breakfast options are very limited unless you want Waffle House or Huddle House. Jake N Rips aint quite open yet for breakfast!

If you want some great sausage biscuits, ckn biscuits, bacon biscuits, etc. the biscuit pit is a good place for that. They also have homemade donuts. It's pretty cheap as well. It's in a BP gas station just south of Grenada on 51.

This thread is bringing back good memories.I had breakfast there about 15 yrs ago while at a friends deer camp, it involved a hot little redhead, breakfast in bed that didn't really get ate, and one of the wildest mornings of my life. A big smile comes to my face every time I see the word Vaiden. Good times.

Are u looking for breakfast Sunday or Monday morning? The 35/55 truck stop caught on fire about a month ago. Not sure if they're even serving food yet

The 35/55 truck stop is still closed due to fire. Tracks is the restaurant in the old railway depot in Winona. I don't know if they serve breakfast but their burgers are pretty good.

The Tracks doesn't serve breakfast. If you're looking for breakfast monday morning, it's a small cafe on Middleton Rd. in winona that serves a great breakfast. Let me know if you're coming through that day and your breakfast will be taken care of.

If you can make it another hour from Grenada, stop in Hernando. Go west off of the interstate about 1/2 mile. On the right will be Taco Felix. Don't let the name fool you, it serves a southern breakfast along with breakfast burritos, etc.

The half omelet covers the entire plate. Plus, I think you get that Mimosa that you so desire.

It's still open and has the best fish around these parts. The owner is a huge State fan, too.
