Need some help - fantasy football

I have never played fantasy football in my life. My young son wants to play this year and needs some help from me such as signing him up, helping him draft etc. How do I go about finding a league that we can do over the internet? Does it normally cost anything? Yes, I know I can just google it, but I was hoping for some suggestions or advice from someone who has done it who can steer me in a better direction than me simply googling "fantasy football leagues" and getting 99,000 search results. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm asking in April because I don't know if these leagues draft in June or late August.

I've done ESPN and Yahoo. Both are pretty good and free unless you click on a pay league. If you want any advice on drafting, PM me.

I assume a yahoo league will place me in a league with random people and the draft will be done prior to the season. Is the draft done all at one time (for instance the draft will be held precisely at 8:00 pm on August 29, if you ain't there you don't get players), or is the draft done over several days and weeks as people are able to login and make a choice? How many people are usually in one league?

You can customize the rankings ahead of time if you wish.[*]My main league is 16 guys but most of the leagues out there are either 10 or 12 teams. 8 teams is too few in my opinion.[/list]

take your time and set up a league this june/july and then push it to whoever you want to play with. it'll be more fun to learn with others who are learning vs getting waxed by a vet. or, play with someone who is willing to help you learn.

joining a random league will not be as much fun as playing with people you know.
