My first bill is $358.00 with all sorts of charges I was not going to be informed about. I have had Comcast phone for about 8 years or longer as well as their TV services the majority of that time until recently, but I have gone back to them for TV and internet.<div>
</div><div>I was quoted at $119.99 for the HD Triple Play and it's a great package.</div><div>They said they would waive the installation fee which was $70 b/c it took so long for them to get out here (2 weeks). They said this before they installed it, so we will see how that goes.</div><div>They also charged me another $143.21 for adjustments to my services what ever that is, but says I owe $93.13. Not sure what that's about.</div><div>They also charged me $29.95 for a "national install" whatever the hell that is...it better not be my phone since I already had it.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm basically trying to get info from you guys about what to tell them when I call, bc I am not paying $358 that's just ridiculous. I have never seen this many hidden fees.</div><div>
</div><div>Here's my bill:</div><div>$119.99 for HD Prefered XF</div><div>$2.99 for additional Xfinity TV services</div><div>$7.00 rental fee for a phone voice service which I dunno what I'm renting for that</div><div>$93.13 for "Total Partial Month Charges and Credits</div><div>$99.93 for Installs</div><div>$35.46 in taxes</div><div>
</div><div>Total $358.50 </div><div>
</div><div>Any help is greatlyappreciated. I will call them this evening or tomm morning.</div><div>
</div><div>Thanks!</div>

you pay for your services in advance so the 93.13 of partial charges are for the previous month. Sounds like you got it installed around November 5th or so if the pro-rated calculation is correct if your billing cycle ends EOM.

The $7 is for the modem that is combined for your phone and internet. I have searched before the phone/internet modem to buy instead of purchase and can't find it.

Your only wiggle room is the installs I think.

They said initially on the phone they would waive the installation fees because it took about 2 weeks for them to get out here. Yeah I figured the $7.00 was for the boxes.<div>
</div><div>The $93.13 says it's for adjusted services added. The $119.99 a month should be for my services. I was never told of any of this in advance. You don't think I have wiggle room there? And I live with another family member. He had the services for about 8 years, not me, so really he's the customer. I just graduated and just now paying for my own stuff. I haven't had to deal with phone companies yet. Still a grasshopper in the real world.</div>

You are paying for your november service (in the past b/c you didn't pay anything the day of installation) and paying for your december service (future). So what ever % of November you had service plus your full month/price for December.

Next month - your bill will be normal.

these are the "smartest" dumbasses they have - "customer retainage".

Tell those people to come pick all your crap up. Use some terms like AT&T Uverse, Direct TV, rabbit ears, Dish.......anything to make them know you are serious about moving your business elsewhere.

They will immediately redo your bill until you give them another reason to 17 up your bill again. I did this a few months ago and got my bill lowered by 20% and added all the movie channels........now my kids are home, not doing there homework and watching Skin-a-max 24/7 - and so am I. It has alsofixed my marriage.

In the past year I have found that tweeting about how ****** comcast is, is the quickest way to have someone remedy your problems. I went with directv recently so I haven't had to use this method in a couple of months

Apparent;y comcast runs this type of scam a good bit. They tell you that you will get discounts, then charge you full price, make you pay it and hope you will forget. Here is someone's conversation with them about it.
