I'm curious about how Josh Robinson,Nick Griffin, Marcus Green, Nickoe Whitley (coming back after injury), and our OL are looking so far. I'm not concerned about our D unless Whitley isn't 100%. We need for J. Robinson & N. Griffin to be solid replacements for Ballard in the back field.

Thoughts?

Nickoe got a pick yesterday, he looks like he's 100%. Broom was wearing an injured jersey though, and was at FS(we had Slay at CB). Griffin had some really strong flashes but was inconsistent. Josh looked a bit skinnier but still looked solid about as solid as Griffin on the field. I noticed that Josh Robinson and Joe Morrow were in the two minute offense.

That dude sells tickets for no other reason than the violence he transfers on impact. He's up there with the hardest SEC hitters I've ever seen.

...it seems they are all progressing well. I went to 6-7 practices in the spring and just the one open practice this fall, so my opinion is based on limited observations.

1. Nick Griffin is running with no visible limitation, but wearing a wrap on the knee he hurt. His biggest problem is a hand off problem with Zac. He laid the ball on the grass 3 times yesterday in non-game drills through the gaps.

2. Josh Robinson is making really good progress. He is now listed at 5-9 215, but appears to be more cut. His biggest problem is pass blocking.

3. Marcus Green is doing very well. He caught 4-5 passes and had no drops yesterday morning. He will be our starter.

4. Tobias Smith is running without a limp and claims to be 114%. That is 100% for 14 games.

5. You should have asked about Derrick Milton. He is just as impressive as our other RB's. He has great moves getting open for passes and great hands. I think he is our best receiving option for RB's.

6. Joe Morrow is exciting to watch. He is a legitimate downfield threat. He was running with the 1's yesterday.

7. Jameon Lewis is also exciting to watch, but freshman Brandon Holloway is so quick and fast, he makes Tubby look almost pedestrian.

8. Blaine Clausell played at 6-7 285 last year and started a couple of games. He is now 310 and significantly better.

9. Tyler Russell is a different QB. He exudes confidence and is a real leader on the field.

..but when you present a numbered list, please use spacing so we can read it:

This is much eaiser to digest:

Typed it out ( on iPhone) with about three seperate paragraphs and it bunched everything together. Went back in to edit and it looked correct, so I saved it and it appeared correct.

I know folks in La who keep telling me we got one of the better prospects out that state in D. Milton.
You just never hear him mentioned.

In the spring Milton had some issues with fumbling. Losing the football is a good way to drop down the depth chart. My understanding is the staff is very excited about his potential, but just like all young running backs, he must learn the finer points (ball security, pass protection, etc.). I'm real excited about our stable of runners (Perkins, Griffin, Robinson, Milton). I hope they are joined by Kailo Moore and Ashton Shumpert (if Shumpert plays offense)
