Need to do away with conference officials on the road in the rivalry game imo.

Those refs were intent on not throwing any flags knowing how much UK gets penalties. The hold on the kickoff return TD was criminal as the point of impact is where 3 officials eyes are supposed to be and the others off the ball.

Some say there were 2 holds right in the hole #7 ran through but with out a doubt there was one complete tackling of a defender. It was bad enough that Jesse Palmer had to make an excuse for it.

Officials impact games but they don’t directly cost teams games. Louisville had their chances to win the game.

With that said I don’t see how they catch a hold from 30 yards away on a Louisville kick off that resulted in no advantage and then ignore 2 clear holds on a play that clearly created the lane for Brown. That is their sole job. Does it mean UK wouldn’t have scored on their next series no idea but with how the game went in the 2nd half I doubt Louisville would have stopped them.

Hey - we completely agree on this!

If there wasn’t some inherent belief that officials are biased - there wouldn’t be the thought to lessen the home field advantage by having refs from the visiting team’s conference. The bottom line is that all officials are terrible - no reason not to get some from any other conference for games like this.

it seems that in the contract, between Louisville and Kentucky, the home team supplies the refrees for that game. so that equates to sec refs for Kentucky when they are at home and acc refs for Louisville when they are the home team
