Friday March 13, 1998. A young eckie1 was at home from State for spring break. I was watching March Madness, and the Sharts were playing Valpo.
Game was out of reach (****) so I went to the gas station to get a can of Copenhagen. Flipped it on to the local Reb radio feed, and got to hear Yellum’s call of Bryce Drew ********** them.
One of the single most fortuitous moments in my life!!
Thankfully, I’ve kicked the habit since.
