so what if we won ugly?
Ugly wins are far better than pretty losses. If State can be successful at running the football with a mobile QB, State would be able to eat clock and control time of possession. You would also have the RB room to hand the ball off to as well. If Shapen isn't ready to go on Saturday, you've got to play with the cards you are dealt. You can still have a passing attack as well, so you don't have to scrap the pass. The main thing is to find a way to keep the drives alive without stalling.

We are going to get exactly what the RuNdAbAwLeRs want and it likely won't be pretty.
We'll definitely run whatever read option plays Lebby has installed and we'll pick up some rushing from QB scrambles, but we're not going to suddenly look like a triple option team with Kamario. Unless you are involving KT in the run to put the offense in a +1 running situation, having a running QB isn't going to magically make our OL better when doing regular run plays, and I don't think Lebby's offense can just be converted to a read option offense on the fly because Kamario is back there. We're already something like 55% rush I think. We probably move to like 60% with KT back there. Meaningful for sure, but not sure it's going to look like some crazy change in philosophy.

I guess we will see if this goes more like Dak at Auburn 2013 or Chris Parsons at A&M 2023.

We lost both of those games but one of them our young QB looked like a future star and the other was a hot mess.
