I don't go, but I have been there a handful of times, mostly with my dad on field trips for his summer photography classes at Hinds. If I really need that many people jammed into a small area, I can just got to the Grove and at least there will be football and considerably less red dirt to clean off later.

I went in 2003 when ronnie musgrove and Haley barbour debated. That was a fun experience, glad I’ve been, not sure I’d ever have a reason to go back.

Went when I was old enough to drink at 18. Watched a bunch of guys I know get drunk and try to get into fights. I kissed a girl who looked like a supermodel. Saw Eli Manning get wasted when he had just signed with Ole Miss. That was about it and I haven't gone back since.

You'd be surprised how many of the central MS non-drinking Baptists go to the Fair and don't drink. They do get high on hot dogs, casseroles and Dr Pepper though

It wasn’t at the Fair but it was in Philly and the guy that slapped him is the one of the nicest guys on the planet. Probably never been in another altercation ever.

I'm not from that area, but the Manning boys mama is Olivia Williams Manning, who is from Philadelphia. So it's likely they are somewhat related to a Williams from Philadelphia.

I've never been to one that wasn't BOTH hot and muddy AND hot and dusty. You'd think it couldn't be both, but in most any 24/48 hours, it will be.
