I can see this deal busted up or falling through down the line. Otherwise, it just means Netflix will get closer to charging $30-$35 per month for content. And we Lane about ESPN's costs . . .
We’ll see… I think a bunch of politicians are going to have to be paid a lot of money before they approve the deal.

Dirty sticky floors and chairs, packs of yutes wandering in and out from one movie to another, cell phones ringing during the movies, and should we discuss prices?
It will be streaming somewhere in no time at all and you can pay less than $5 to watch it instead of taking the family and paying for 4 tickets @ $14.00 for first run movies (MS Average according to Gemini) and food and drink.
A good chunk of theatre woes are the fault of the major film producers. Definitely have their own mistakes that hurt them, but they have to take a lot of what is dictated to them by studios.
You need to watch movies in different theatres then. Every single one I have been to for the last 7 years has been clean, quiet(even at minecraft, but before the dumb chicken thing), and comfortable.
In that time, I have been to theatres in my metro as well as theatres in Omaha, Minneapolis, Chicago burbs, Davenport, KC, and STL.
If anything, they are often times a ghost town compared to the 'golden years' of my youth, so its even nicer because there arent many people around.
I could describe every theatre I have been to in all those areas with 3 attributes- oversized plush retractable seating for each person, clean, and pretty damn quiet.
Netflix Price increase coming. They priced me out a while back. Now I just “acquire” what I want to watch and put it on my plex server.
Looks like someone hasn’t been to a theater in a while. Reserved seating, recliner seats, wide rows where you can’t see the people in front or behind you, and even food service to your seat if you like.
But you make a good point on movie sales. Disney wonders why their movies don’t get huge box office numbers. Why go to the theater when I can wait 2 months and see it on Disney+.

I'm with Peeper. Not sure what theaters many of you are going to (in Fantasy Land or a Dream World?), but it's been an ess-show for the ones I've been to in the last 3-4 years. There is no etiquette or consideration for others . . . that ship has sailed.
I'm probably in the minority, but I sure do miss the non-reserved seating. I always got to the theater early and got my strategic seats. Even though AMC backed off of charging more for "better" seats in the middle versus the ends, don't think that won't be revisited.

The one thing I dislike about buying reserved seating ahead of time is the absurd process for multiple kids to get tickets to a movie.
- Younger ages was annoying because parents would want to buy their kid's ticket and coordinating multiple parents to quickly buy a specific ticket sucked.
- Older ages was annoying because even though they could buy their own, I had to listen to how some kid was in then suddenly wouldn't commit to a time, and everyone else would then scramble and be unsure of what to do.
But besides parents and kids being dumb, reserved seating is overall great.
I went to the one in Starkville last week, and it’s showing its age. Then again, I don’t need a new one to charge $25 a ticket or whatever.
Aside from just not being new anymore, though, they hadn’t even bothered to vacuum the popcorn out of the floor in the lobby.
Zootopia 2 was pretty good though.

We go to the movies on the coast, Memphis and Desoto County. They are all a pretty good experience. Reclining seats are great. It’s expensive, but what isn’t now a days.
This doesn’t happen a lot but some people have brought their infants with them and that is super annoying. Other than that occasional idiot I enjoy going to the movies.
