What should Neuqua expect from Warren? I know about the great D but still breakdown the team a bit for me. What’s the O like? Who are the key players? Schemes? Coaching?
As for Neuqua.....their O revolves around Will Chevalier (Chevy). He’s their RB and one hell of a tough kid. He is not the biggest kid but he’s built solid as a rock. Arm tackles won’t bring him down. He’s also a very dangerous receiver in space. If he gets that space he’s more than likely gone.
Our QB, Gronowski, has progressed nicely in his first year as a starter. He’s a big kid (6’2, 2 bills) with a strong arm. He can run the ball effectively and has deceptive wheels. His decision making early in the season was suspect but he’s getting better. If he can avoid the bad INT (ie the pick 6 to NC with 13 seconds left in a tie game) then our O will be effective. His wideouts are big (Hoffman), athletic (Larkin), and speedy (Stare). If we can get time to throw we can be effective. Also keep an eye on Stare during kickoffs. He housed 4 this year.
Defensively we are typical Neuqua....big in the trenches, athletic and instinctual at LB, and a bit lacking in the secondary (but can be effective...see Thorne stats against us).
I imagine this will be a sledgehammer game decided by turnovers and big plays.
