I would not be surprised though if there is some conduct clause with the university that would make expelling them legit. Maybe not though.

I'm not sure how their conduct policy works, but if he were to get expelled, I'm sure there could be a lawsuit on some infringement of civil rights, though I doubt they'd file it, as the last thing this kid wants is more publicity.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this kid be "recommended" to transfer somewhere, even if he's within his last 30 hours.

Ole Miss - The Ku Klux Klan will hold a rally in Oxford because UM's chancellor has dumped the song "From Dixie with Love." Also, one of the school's "student leaders" was caught on a cell phone camera using the crown mother of racial slurs.
If I were a black athlete there's no way I would go to a place like Ole Miss where the 1960s are apparently still alive and well. Klan rallies? A student leader using the N-word? There's racism everywhere, but no other schools are fighting such public battles over this small-minded crap.

and I'm paraphrasing here: "do you have any idea what happens to people who chose to publicly associate with white supremacists in the 21st century, even in Mississippi? I have a feeling that what you are about to go through is punishment enough. Dismissed. "

to be a total dubmass. Hell, if it weren't for people like him, nobody would know just how damn smart all of us are.

What a total freakin' idiot. I know young people do dubmass **** when they are young. But, this takes the freakin' cake.

I threw in the labeling stuff because it seems so many people seem to think free speech exempts you from the consequences of your actions - which it doesn't. There's no way he can finish at Ole Miss - it would be completely miserable for him, and rightly so.

Speech is not free today under any circumstances. Lets get real, Sarah Palin can not say as much as Barack Obama. Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, O'Reilly, Rush can not say as much as Keith Olberman or Bill Maher. Don Imus can't say as much as Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.

This kid was ignorant and has views that any normal person in this day and age would abhore, but his life is screwed. Yet if he were black and said the reverse about white people, he would just be called militant and no one would say anything or be giving it a second thought.

Don't kid yourselves people there is no "FREE" speech for any conservative white person.

Lock it up...

The clowns on the far right like those guys are equally as bad as Olberman and the idiots on the far left. They are all annoying as hell

You are 100% correct. If a black had said <17> rednecks, whiteys, crackers, hillbillys, etc. on youtube, we wouldn't be having these discussions.

Just be ready to face up to what you 'freely' said.

Free Speech doesn't equal zero repercussions. Don't confuse the two.

they can't get a fair break can they?

Such a trampled and oppressed group.

For real, when did "conservatives" become such pussies? I have seen more crying from that bunch than any pulling up by bootstraps.

I would come out and make a public statement that MSU does not support the KKK, or any other white supremist organization.

Just to make DAMN sure that people do not mistake us for Ole Miss.

And to rub salt in the wound.

Show me an allegedly oppressed group that justifies their own f'n racist actions and attitudes because of "historical oppression" and I'll show you a pile of **** *** mf'n racists that are no better nor different than the f'n barretts of the world. Put that in your feeble mind and try not to let your medical marijuana cause you to forget it.

You are a deep thinker I see. What historical oppression has Barrett and white Ole Miss frat boys suffered? Seeing as how you equate their views/actions to those of Reverend Wright and the like. I know you would never whine like a girl about these types of issues as it is obvious you are a "rugged individualist".

your habits have left you without the ability to read with comprehension, much less with reason.

There are racists who have been oppressed historically who, when they are no longer oppressed, seek to carry out their racist actions on former oppressors. As I said, dubmass, it's a round world and human nature is human nature.

Why do you seem deeply troubled by all this? Or, at the very least, seem to have taken a personal interest in what is going on. Wonder what Rush would have to say about it all? Well, if he were not muzzled that is.

Seriously, Rush annoys me and doesn't speak for me on anything. But, Rush has money, wanted to buy an NFL team was approached by a friend to do so, then was told NO because he is too polarizing (which is true, but I doubt Keith Olberman would be turned down to buy an NFL team if he had Rush's money and its safe to say he is polarizing as well).

Speech isn't free for white conservatives now, thats just the way it is. Wake up and smell the ganja...
