This is weird. The actual AP site is still showing the Dec 2 poll. The NCAA site says AP 4-6 are Duke -Kentucky - Marquette, but the CBSSports site shows 4-6 as Marquette - Kentucky - Duke, which makes more sense as Marquette and Kentucky have only one loss to Duke’s two.

I think many of us would have just been happy to see UK in the top 20 this season when Pope was hired. The fact he has beaten Duke and Gonzaga and has us in the top 5 is really unbelievable.

I guess they felt a Duke win over a decimated injured unranked Louisville team on the road had more value than UK’s win over Duke on a neutral floor. Not to mention, we have one less loss. I really think that these voters need to have their voting rights revoked and given to someone else every now and then. This screams favoritism.

There should be a point when strength of schedule plays a little bit of a role in the voting. And their strength of schedule is not going to be anywhere close to ours. Then again, there is no logic. There’s only favoritism.

I always laugh when you guys analyze these polls complaining about who is above who and arguing why we should be in front of Duke. Poll voters barely watch the games. They just look up who won and jot down their rankings. Having a team ranked ahead of a team who beat them is not uncommon and happens all the time in both the basketball and football polls.

True, but that's a passionate rivalry game. Duke always seems to struggle a bit there as well recently.
