Per bio: "As a senior, Dillon had a school-record .421 batting average with a .496 on-base percentage in Big 12 play. He led the Big 12 in batting average, walks and ranked nationally in walks (53, t4th) and walks per game (.840, 17th). He finished his career as a .307 hitter with 124 RBIs and 115 walks."
Iowa's hc was fired and their full staff turned over after last yr. It's a bit strange that he didn't get back on immediately, but I imagine he was a bit slow to step back into a "volunteer" role after being a paid 3b coach/hitting assistant. Reality is, he'll prob make the same money in his new role at MSU that he did in his old one at Iowa...
I know you are joking -- but in all reality, this is a really important position for hitting improvement and 1-on-1 time... And on the surface, this guy seems to have a pretty good resume for it...
He receives no pay from the university/bulldog club. His money comes out of various Cohen bonuses and side money(word in the profession is that Cohen does a good job of taking care of these guys in that regard) and baseball camps...
Wells probably made a similar salary to your average PE fresh off passing the exam
