Seems to be buzz on Twitter about it. No idea if it's true or not.

I kinda of agree. I assume there are better ways to spend $50MM, but whatever. Our athletic department is cash flushed right now, and it doesn't do any good sitting around.

I disagree.

The bleachers down the basepaths are terrible. The view from this is just not acceptable.

I'm with you. As long as the build around LFL, I'm good. The LFL recipe does not need to be 17ed with.

You should go there one day and see for yourself. It's really cool. Hopefully they don't use it as a money grab and sell it to the highest bidder. That area needs to be for fraternities, other various school organizations, and the hardcore fans with connections. It ain't broke...

I strongly disagree. The curvature of the grandstand is all wrong and there's a 10-foot wall around the inner concourse (neither of which is needed or even desirable). It was one of the best in college baseball when it was built, but it's very dated now.

It will be tiered around the outfield but no more structures allowed to be built or pulled in.

My biggest issues are the sightlines (bleachers) and the wall completely blocking you from anything happening on the field when you travel through the concourse. The top stadiums in the country are open concourse, allowing for a more connected audience regardless of whether they're in their seats or walking through. We fix that and don't 17 with the lounge, I'm happy

Lemme guess...No grills allowed in the park either. Hope you like Aramark BBQ.

Ultimately, my beef is this...there are only a couple thing synonymous with MSU athletics: Cowbells and LFL. Don't mess either of them up.

I think Tier-ing the LFL could be great actually. I think we could spend some time out there and make it a lot more awesome. Allow some of the trucks and trailers to be closer and give it much more of a stadium effect. Would be loud too.

The character of the lounge is still 100% present. At least when I saw the renderings, I had no problems with it.

Where are you guys seeing any chatter in twitter? I haven't seen anything.

Also if there are no rigs allowed anymore, stricklin pretty much just wrote his resignation letter.

Pretty much everything involving sports is a "want"!rather than a "need."

Don't stop them by bringing reason into this. They're determined to come up with a fantasy that Stricklin is out to destroy LFL.

I hope you and Rog see my point. I'm all about upgrading our facilities, I just hope they don't forget what makes it special. In the LFL case, it's more about the "Who" than the "What" and "Where". Actually, its more about the "who" and "what who does".

Well, I think the character of LFL is the trailers, BBQ grills, and cold beer. Hopefully, those will all be present in the future.

I don't feel reassured by this. How do you define "the character of the lounge"? I define that as including the rigs. Is that still 100% present?

There are plenty of ways to help the LFL. Tiered berms, especially RF would be a big help, and would make them safer, but removing the rigs would destroy the soul of MSU baseball.
