Granted most of them don't know jack but I did find it interesting that all 3 of the ones I looked through had us winning the West (I know, I know..) and making the NCAA tournament with or without Bost. Most also expect big things from Ravern and Sidney (obviously).

with the RSS, Ravern, and Bost...Bailey off the bench for defense...Lewis giving Kodi a break...all these guards and small forwards we got

Stansbury now has that draft pick Sixpack says you have to have to make the Sweet 16

Big rebounds from his bricked 3 point shots
Big periods of time where his man beats him defensively
Big pouting sessions while he's on the bench for someone who knows how to guard

He is a pretty damn good PG for the most part. Who do we have behind him? I'll admit that I haven't kept up with our recruiting a whole lot lately, but I know that we don't have a backup with any experience. Sidney should be a beast & Ravern is a great shooter (most nights), but we need a good experienced PG which we don't have without Bost.

Fortson, Oglevy, Terrico White, Tasmin Mitchell, Cousins, Wall, Chism,Varnado, Downey.......those are big names. If Bost is back then we have a shot at winning the overall SEC.

It's hard to imagine Tranny running the show for 30+ minutes a night.

If Bost is not a part of the team, Bryant, Ravern, Kodi, and Renard will all play 32+ minutes. Tranny and Benock about 15 each (think about that). It would be nice to think that we could get 20 minutes a night from Shaun Smith but I don't know how his health is. (Update anyone?). Bailey, if healthy, gets about 10 minutes a night. Riek and Lewis will alternate getting 5-7 minutes every three games or so. Steele? Won't redshirt nor play enough to matter, a decision we will regret in three years.

This could really be the breakout year for MSU and Burry, no doubt.......

What do you know about Steele? I don't know the first thing about him really.

we have had several players that were used sparsely their freshman year and could have easily redshirted. Once what would have been their red-shirt senior year rolls around we really could have used the player. Perfect examples are Marcus Grant, Winsome Frazier, and Timmy Bowers. I've heard Coach Stansbury say before that its such a guessing game regarding who may leave early or if you get a chance to get a better player later that with limited scholarships he would rather play them than risk either tying up a scholarship that long or missing out on a year of contribution if they leave early.

that we are a sweet 16 team. I don't see it without Bost. With him....maybe.

I totally agree we won't be without him- but with him- we should be. We will have one of the SEC's top PG's, one of it's top scorers in Ravern, and then a player Stansbury said is the most talented big man the conference has seen in a long time. That makes for a pretty damn good line-up. Especially when Kodi plays well and doesnt force alot of shots

just didn't bother with the edit or delete. I agree that we may have the potential with Bost.

One area that concerns me is the guy that picks up all the loose balls, that gets the tough rebounds, & that is a good defender. Do we have that guy on this team?

I'm trying to think if we've had a big man who was also a scorer with Kodi - I was impressed with the strides that Jarvis made in the last two years, but that wasn't really his thing. I'm hoping Kodi can feed off Sidney on the offensive end, that he won't constantly be thinking he needs to do one of those weird terrible dribble drive things, or launch up the three pointers. I think it's going to be good for him.

Kodi was at my buddys apartment the other night and he said Steele is badass. Says the guy is lights out and he's gonna be awesome. Other than that, I dunno much about him. Hardly any scouting of him out on the internets.
