New Billboard

Has anyone else noticed the new billboard located at Hinds Rankin Campus on I-20 in Pearl? Sorry about the absence of a picture. Picture of eagle and bulldog. Says something like " Stay Maroon, from Eagle to Bulldog".

Some sort of encouragement from USM? Doesn't really make sense.

Hinds mascot is an eagle.

Perhaps a bit elitist

to assume it referred to MSU. I'm not familiar with the schools, colors, and mascots down in the Jackson area. But I do know that Jackson is in Hinds County ....

It is MSU's trademarked logo on the board. Maybe someone from the Metro area can grab a pic and it will make more sense. My question is if we partned with Hinds for this billboard, who would UM partner with? What JUCO shares UM's colors? They may not team with a JUCO for a billboard. Considering Hinds is not the powerhouse it used to be, I would rather see a MS Gulf Coast CC/MSU sign, even though the whole maroon slogan wouldn't work.

OM is basically partnered with Northwest CC. Same colors and there's a UM-Desoto branch at the Southaven campus of NW.
