And one thing to remember is that lunardi is pretty much forced to pick an ideal bracket for bubble teams--in other words, he is picking the favorite in a conf to win a tourney. In all likelihood, there will be upsets in the tourney and automatic teams will become at larges.

I don't think UK and Fla. get in without a nice run (3 wins) in the SEC tournament. I think Auburn needs at least one and probably two wins to get in. In the end, I don't see any more than 3 getting in unless one of SC, TN, or LSU don't win the SEC tournament.

that Lunardi's bracket is based of "if the season ended today" rather than who he thinks will make it in on Selection Sunday. Florida and Kentucky have enough opportunity in front of them to play their way in. Auburn's non-conference resume will ultimately be the end of them, unless they win convincingly against LSU and make it to Sunday in Tampa. If that happens, then maybe they get in, but it's still a stretch to put the Tigers in the field unless they win the SEC Tourney.
...and KY and FL officially **** the bed last week. I think you're dead wrong...the SEC will only get three teams in. And truthfully, they don't deserve any more than that. Hell, it's debatable that SC deserves a bid.
...if Auburn makes it to the championship game and loses, shoot me a note and we'll put a wager on whether they get a bid or not. I will enjoy taking your money.
Edited to add: some of you guys are putting too much weight on the whole "no SEC team with 10 wins has ever been left out" or the "we always get a minimum of four in" arguments. The committee doesn't give a **** about that. What they do give a **** about is Auburn's 78 RPI. They've got to improve 20 spots just to warrant consideration, and that ain't happening.

...first of all, Penn State has more quality wins than Auburn. Secondly, they have two more victories than Auburn. Thirdly, I don't think Penn State is a shoo-in for a bid, either. Auburn's best win is aGAINst Tennessee, and they have losses to Mercer, Northern Iowa, and Ole Miss. They also have another likely loss on their schedule as they close the season with LSU. Penn State has quality wins over Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois (twice), Minnesota, and Northwestern. Penn State has a better record against the RPI top 50. The two aren't even comparable at this point.
