Even if Hanover loses the last two games? Which could happenIf Spoty wins Friday they’ll be locked into the 8 seed. If Dinwiddie wins (with a Dale, Petersburg, & Springs win) would almost certainly be locked in as the 1 seed. That’ll be the only playoff matchup set. No other matchups will be set until Week 11 finishes. It’s crazy how fast we got here![]()
SOS would have Hanover above them I believeEven if Hanover loses the last two games? Which could happen
Facts! I am very interested to see how things sort out. Two huge games left in the table. HSHS vs. Varina and Huguenot vs. Manchester. Those two games could sway things tremendously. If everybody wins out it will likely be a switch between 2, 3,and 4. I will be able to pinpoint things a bit better after this week's games. The teams are all locked in, the next two weeks will just determine the seeding
He played in more than 2 games thoughIf the player is deem ineligible, that would force Varina to only forfeit their first game. Since the player only played in their first 2 games, which one of them they already lost. It would only hurt their seeding, they would still make the playoffs I'm pretty sure.
i watched that first game and thought something was wrong with courtlands offense and think it would be a much better game the next time. i am a lions fan btwCourtland wants no parts of Louisa

The first 3games*, didn’t realize he played in the Norcom gameHe played in more than 2 games though
I just hope this doesn’t turn into a thing where Varina ends up winning it all, just for them to finally make a statement about the situation and make it an issue again after the season. It seems like at this point it's a non issue since he hasn't played. I would assume some type of statement would've been made by now.
Excellent point! This matter needs to be resolved before the playoffs begin period. Either he is eligible or Varina forfeits any games won that he played in. If things are done correctly VHSL rules offer no other options. If Williams is indeed deemed ineligible it would be a travesty to allow Varina to eliminate a team with an incorrect seed. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.I just hope this doesn’t turn into a thing where Varina ends up winning it all, just for them to finally make a statement about the situation and make it an issue again after the season.
If Varina’s two early wins are forfeited, they would officially finish 6–4 because the Maury loss will just stand won’t be forfeited. However, if they win their final two games, their strength of schedule and bonus points especially from if they beat Highland Springs and they already beat multiple region opponents would boost their VHSL rating. Hanover, on the other hand, is projected to lose to Armstrong and Highland Springs, which would lower their overall rating despite having the better record. Because VHSL power points prioritize opponent strength and bonuses, Varina would most likely edge Hanover for the #6 seed even with the forfeitures. At worse Varina will be #6 and face Huguenot first then Dinwiddie or at best #3 and face Caroline then Louisa. Not really crazy. Only two of Hanover's opponents (Varina and Freeman) thus far have winning records. Their eight opponents gave 24 wins between them. Varina and Freeman have 11 of those. The Hawks are not getting a lot of rider points. They have an opportunity to improve their situation in the next two weeks; however, getting wins over 8-0 Armstrong and 6-2 Highland Springs will be no easy task. Two 30 base power points games would help them tremendously. Two losses and they will be fighting for a 7th or 8th seed. 6-4 should easily get them in the playoffs.
