See, this seems like the best news of the day to me. Finally something breaking PSU's way. Now we can move on from this idiocy - assuming that us negotiating with Sitake were true to begin with - and actually get someone on board immediately.

I was extremely worried that we would actually be doing back and forth with Sitake for the next week which is pretty much the worse scenario possible.
Tbe best news is that he's staying at BYU, putting a hole in the BoT balloon.

I've always supported the coach and staff. Up to and beyond when my head scratching left me with no hair.
That’s where I’m at. I’ll certainly support whoever finally decides to take their millions from Penn State. But this is ridiculous.

Naturally. 😞
I pick up the ball and I throw it to Naturally.

No, you don’t, you throw the ball to first base.

Then who gets it?

Naturally!

OK.

All right.

I throw the ball to Naturally.

You don’t! You throw it to Who!

Naturally!

Well, that’s it. Say it that way.

That’s what I said!

You did not.

I said I’d throw the ball to Naturally.

You don’t. You throw it to Who.

Naturally.

Iowa fan here. What about the Iowa State coach Matt Campbell? He is young and does more with less there. Just curious to what you guys think. Peace!
He was in my Top 5 when this started and think he's been the best choice for a few weeks. No idea why he hasn't gotten a call. Great coach, leader and has done a great job in a program that doesn't seem to be spending a ton. I'd give him in a heartbeat.

His sources are wrong--like every source is at times
You should understand the difference between lying and being wrong--you're the expert at being wrong

LMAO, KingLoado the know-it-all has pronounced that a highly respected journalist with some of the best connections in the industry is "wrong" and lying when he states that he factually knows that Sataki has decided to stay at BYU, why he made that decision AND that he has informed PSU (and BYU) of his final decision. And what is Loado's source for his claim that Thamel is wrong and intentionally lying about what he knows? Well, it's Loado the jackass himself wouldn't you know? LMAO - I think KingLoado might be Krafty The Clown's long lost brother.

Sitake has told Kraft thanks, but no thanks because BYU has given him a pay raise and locked him (Krafty has been a true boon fo P4 coaching community.... not so much for his professional obligations - PSU's Program).
Did he tell Kraft no today/tonight because PS made a counteroffer to the BYU promises and pay raise, I thought Satake was going to mull it over until tomorrow and then let Kraft know either way.

Thamel acknowledges when he's wrong--as all people are--especially when their info comes from sources
You're the one assuming it's a lie instead of someone getting wrong info.
Keep obsessing kiddo

Reporters have also said that Sitake himself has admitted it.... was negotiating with both PSU and his current employer BYU.... and late today informed both BYU and PSU of his final decision - BYU after they countered PSU's original offer and then recountered PSU's counter today. KingLoado is full of s*** as per usual according to none other than Sitake himself.
So he said no thanks again today? Hm I haven't heard that. I'm probably late to the party again.

Everything has changed because now as it turns out Sexton has/is sabotaging this process because we didn't handle small game James, 1-18 James, 4-21 James, after 12 years when this dbag couldn't even say he was committed to Penn State or wanted to coach here in a press conference, and tried an end run around the AD to get more money. Unbelievable. This guy Sexton is the God of college football and he dictates what happens based on whether his clients get whatever they want regardless of results. College football is an absolute putrid turd.
I am beginning to think this guy Sexton is sabotaging PSU's efforts.

Franklin is one component. And maybe it's not necessarily just him - I can't recall a time when a coach was fired after four games and rehired somewhere else within the next month; maybe it's timing. But, I've never seen an entire class collapse like this when a coach was fired. Never.

This was so predictable. Ask vandy fans from 2013.

This is not a conspiracy. Sexton's job is to make money for his clients (and himself), so he is not going to torpedo a hire that makes his client the most money. All things equal, Sexton can say he did not like how James was treated but "money talks." Maybe, just maybe, Kraft overvalued the brand? Thought that once the job was open coaches would flock to it? I think it is the latter IF he ends up striking out.

To not strike out where would he go from here? IMO there doesn't seem to be any high value targets left.

No one, to date, has considered the most unconventional source for a new HC. The European Football League.

I think Jack DelRio might be the secret coach.

Wait till PK crawls up to Terry and sheepishly offers him the job only to be turned down because of Terry being upset he was the 30th option. This board will explode when he joins Jimmy down in Blacksburg.
