A portion of the fan base disliked Franklin and Tomlinson from day 1. You figure it out.

I’m a little concerned with Tengwell’s video. Perhaps it’s a little premature to go with Hartline. Did not realize that truly he’s only been a coordinator for seven games.

Every coaching hire is a risk. I bet LSU and Texas A&M thought they had slam dunk hires in Brian Kelly and Jimbo Fisher, both turned out to be disaster.

the facts are Penn State is way behind half the conference in skill position talent, and development. Hartline’s recruiting and transfer portal additions can close that gap quickly. If he has a good veteran staff around him, he’ll be fine. I would look for him to bring Tyler Bowen back, and possibly Billy Fessler as qb coach. That’s a good start

Idk I’d like to see the stats on that. Kids go to Holy Cross for an education They don’t go to JMU
He brought 4 guys that started at least a game last year: a RB, OL, LB, CB.

As fast as he turned around Holy Cross I’m going to assume he was able to secure a few athletic exemptions to the entry standards.

Like Christopher Craig Hort, the husband of Mary Kay Paterno, who killed a young Amish male while DWI on his way home from a golf tournament? No mention of what happened after he was indicted.

Christopher Hort, 54, was sentenced by county Judge Brian Marshall to at least 363 days in the Centre County Correctional Facility. His maximum sentence is three years.

He was passing game coordinator for multiple years before becoming OC for 3 years. Most have zero issue with him working with Ryan Day and Chip Kelly as OC. Some excellent people to learn from, and he looks to be doing just fine this year calling the plays. I am sick of retread HC's they never work. PSU needs some fresh blood. Young and energetic HC. Hartline brings that plus an excellent resume and already has all the relationships with the high school coaches and players for recruiting. That is a major plus. If not him than bring Key or other young energetic coaches. I do not want Rhule or many of the other retread HC's.

We hope your post is true.

The latest rumor claims Rhule is the fallback hire.

There is something very odd about the pumping of sunshine up everyone's keister. Of the three Amigos at BWI Bauer has been dropping hints like bunny droppings and people think it's candy. Recently even I fell for propaganda about Rhule (not from them) to PS that BS has been everywhere. Here is a free YouTube Podcast by the Three Amigos and something doesn't add up with what Bauer has been hinting at. Just so people know I do not subscribe to any pay sites.

When Penn State is the only major coaching job open............it is highly desirable. But have you noticed how it's attractiveness keeps plummeting as more openings become available? PSU had better get moving or they will be battling with the likes of Virginia Tech to fill it's coaching vacancy

No, I haven't noticed that. In fact, ESPN said it's a better job than Florida

No I haven't noticed that either. It's basically just people posting names at this point. No one knows anything.

Currently no one has any idea who Kraft has or has not interviewed. Only rumors at this point. Most likely even when PSU has an agreement with their next coach that coach won't officially come on board until after their season is completed. Even then PSU may keep things completely under wraps having their new coach but not announcing who it is until after the season. This is a huge hire for PSU and Kraft. Take your time and get it right.

Recently Pat Kraft was seen talking to people who know everything about hiring a new HC for PSU and Pat Fitzgerald is a name to watch depending upon how discussions with Urban go and if Marcus wants a bigger stadium than Notre Dame has with concerns if Hartline may not bring Smith with him. All indication appear to be depending who each contender will retain which existing assistant coaches who have asked should I stay or should I go....smart money is betting on PSU hiring a new coach with ability to coach and speak without implying anything.
