I think its obvious that a change has to be made at the top. I think Byrne will realize that keeping Croom will divide our fanbase and no one will attend the games next year. With that being said, who do you think our next coach should be. Here is my wish list below

1. Dan Mullen (Florida OC)
2. Skip Holtz (ECU)
3. Brian Kelly (Cincy)
4. Charlie Strong (Florida DC)
5. Terry or Tommy Bowden

I know that we haven't talked about this before (sarcasm), but I think Todd Graham is the obvious choice, to me.

Maybe I just like him because we're both named Todd, I don't know- Oh and the fact that their offense averages about 40 something points a game- I like that to.

The Pirates started hot, cooled off a little midseason, then poured it on at the end of the year. Because of the Cohen hiring, I give Greg the benefit of a doubt that he already has a short list of coaches in the top drawer of his desk, and is making phone calls to agents right now.

If it were to happen, my top 5 would be
Todd Graham, Gary Patterson, Tommy Bowden, Dan Mullen, or Chris Hatcher. I would also throw Turner Gill, and the ultimate would be Chris Peterson.

I doubt he would come to Starkville or we could afford him, but that is the same thing I would have said about Nutt & Ole Miss last year.

I think we realisticly only have chance to get Todd Graham, Holtz, Mullen, or Hatcher. Even Mullen my be long shot. I want a up and coming coach not someone like Bowden who the players hated by way or a defensive cord. I want someone that can get our offense going. The past 6 years have been a nightmare. Also I think Turner Gil is the next coach at Syracuse because of what he has done with Buffalo.

Very very conservative on offense. I know he won a NC but he is not near the coach or recruiter he once was.

think about the main difference in what we have and what Mississippi has in way of coaches...their head coach has been a successful head coach, ours had never been a head coach...their offensive coordinator had been one(plus head coach for one year) albeit in Canadian FL, ours never had been one....their defensive coordinator had been one before(for Spurrier, no less)..ours had not been....whenever a change occurs, the first thing we need to do is hire experienced coaches....right now, I would be happy with Dubose...he's at Millsaps, but dadgum, they never have won at anything, and they are now the elite.....we just need to go with successful experience...
