Anybody know the name of this place? I can't remember what I saw on the sign driving by. And do you know if they're accepting reservations for football weekends yet?

For what it's worth, I did a little searching for the UAB weekend, and everything seems to be booked. One that showed up as available was the Best Western in Starkville ... for $220 + tax. And that place was a dump when I stayed there about 10 years ago. The Holiday Inn Express in West Point wasn't quite that much, but still exorbitant for such a place. You'd think it was in Manhattan ....

Looks like I might go with the Fairfield in Tupelo again, assuming it's available. Nice place, but a bit out of the way. Adds about 40 miles each way to my trip.

Candlewood Suites recently finished building and opening a new place in Tupelo on N. Gloster.

I forgot the name of it but it is supposed to open this spring. I believe they will take reservations up to a year out. Contact the manager at the Fairfield and he'll know. The same company is going to run both hotels I believe. The other construction in that area up closer to Logan's is going to be a Hampton Inn. I don't know it's completion date.
