I hope the kid ends up a beast but does it seem like we're taking a lot of db/ath this year and we lead for Peters? Maybe we don't sit as well with peters as some think but do we need 4-5 safeties in this class? Just off the top of my head the oak grove wr, McNair from Florida, Linton, Peters, possibly Spivey and the Collins fs, and I'm sure I'm leaving some off.

If he does as well as the last two from Tupelo (pj jones & bumphis) I'll be satisfied.

Great kid!!!dad is a Tupelo fireman and mom works at Toyota.
Plays at Tupelo with my son and I've known him since he was 8 years old very respectful!
Our coaches have known "Red" since the summer before his 10th grade year when his parents paid for Red to go to a camp at MSU.
The MSU coaches took red into the palmeiro center and worked him out he ran a 4.6 twice that day for our coaches.
MSU has kept in contact with red and asked him to move from receiver to safety and he did.
Tony Hughes was at practice yesterday and Sallach has been there too this spring. Coach Hughes liked what he saw and State offered. I trust coach Hughes and I know this kid is a winner!

Nice to hear a response from someone who knows a recruit and can offer their input.
I like what I hear about Red.

Thank you for the insight. I like kids like this because they demonstrate the work ethic that others only talk about. I hope it works out for him and MSU. Several of these guys we signed will definitely be linebackers once they continue their growth and get on MSU's strength program. I saw where Paul Jones is projecting him at a 86-88 rating whenever they get around to it.

Not worried about this at all. If we are accepting a commitment from him now, the staff thinks he's good. And as mentioned, some will end up linebackers.
