There's been noticeable progress since the Alcorn game.

And there sure is going to be a lot of scaffolding available in Mississippi within the next year. Are the Bears still planning on an expansion so they can be larger than us?

If we closed in the lower level (not the club/suites/upper decks) as much as possible toward, and maybe under, the big board, a SWAG for the total capacity would about 70K. And that would seem to be the logical next expansion, if there is one. We'd have to move the video board back and higher to get more. Not that we need it, now or anytime soon or maybe ever, but you'd have to wrap the mid and upper decks around to have a stadium approaching 90K.

You've got to remember that our capacity counted the bleachers for the students, and the current addition isn't a whole lot bigger than that, but a million times nicer. And with the low population of Mississippi, and two SEC universities, neither school is going to fill up more than what we'll have with this expansion and what OM has now.

And that's going to be the case for a number of years, I think. With ticket prices seemingly getting higher almost exponentially, we're going to price a lot of people out of going to games. Especially when they can watch HD from their living rooms, plus a lot of other games on Saturday they'd miss if they come to our game.

Man it's going to look good when finished and already looks good from those aerials especially. When we get all excited about our team again that's gonna be a cool home stadium to watch games in.

When this is completed we'll have everything ole miss does plus 2 upper decks so how do we only get 1,000 more seats after our expansion? Not a big deal, just something I've thought about when comparing the two.

Rocket dude, that is not a lot of scaffolding and only a fraction of the scaffolding at the states largest construction site

i would assume their lower decks go higher up than out lower decks. Michigan and the Rose Bowl (among others) are only one deck and 90k-100k. The number of decks don't really mean much

Looks like a lot to me. Of course, I'm not into large construction.

What is the state's largest construction site at the moment? The Davis Wade expansion? Surely not.

I don't think there's going to be another expansion for a long time. As you mention, people are getting priced out of college football, especially with the economy in the last few years. Attendance is declining, even in the SEC. And the economy isn't going to get any better. We're in for a long-term trend of minimal, if any, growth.
