</div><div>ETA: She also has Georgia in the Chik-fil-A bowl vs. FSU. Granted, they have to the potential to win their next 4 straight, that's a lot of catching up to do.</div> </div>

actually look at the bowl tie-ins for each conference and the current conference records before making projections? Maybe even look at remaining schedule, projecting wins and losses, and then fill in bowl positions based on that?

ETA: Not as bad as it looked, but this is basically Andrea Adelson's predicted order of finish in the SEC: 1 - Alabama; 2 – UF; 3 - Auburn; 4, 5, 6 – South Carolina, UGA, Arkansas; 7 - LSU; 8-9 – UK, Ole Miss; 10 - MSU

I know the SEC west is deeper this year, but after watching last nights game, do you really expect UGA to finish ahead of LSU? And what are the chances we finish 10th in the SEC and get to 6 wins???

in sporting publications each week, Espn being no exception. Hell, I'm just glad they actually recognized MSU and Ole Miss as being two separate entities in the write up.

visit but Harold Graeter was at the game, he'd love to have us back in Memphis.

I'd love to make the Chik-fil-a bowl, that probably isn't going to happen though.

but I really would perfer the Music City Bowl to Birmingham or Memphis. We need to do our part and then hope Nashville takes us over Kentucky.

and I'm guessing we don't get ahead of UK for a bowl. Their SEC schedule is almost as easy as UM's. They get UM, MSU, and then obviously get Vandy and UGA, plus 4 OOC. They do get Auburn as a west opponent, but there just isn't a team you want to play in the west after UM and MSU.Even if UGA,beats UK, they'd still likely go7-5 (3-5), which ispretty much MSU's ceiling. That'd also give UGA the chance to go 3-5 in conference, which wouldpotentially put them at 7-5 if they're able to sweep OOC (which includes (Colorado and Georgia Tech). So based on very early returns, the wooliest I can get is guess that we'll either essentialy be in antie for the 7th/8th/9th bowl spot or potentially be the clear choice for spot #8. Which if the SEC gets two in BCS games I think the Gator would have the 7th choice and the Liberty/Music City would get the 8th/9th picks? Is that right? Couldthe SEC really send a 7-5 team with a losing conference record to the Gator Bowl?

That's all assuming that MSU>UGA>UK> UM, Vandy, and UT (which even if that wooly assessment is true, at best it's a tight grouping of MSU, UGA, and UK and then noticeable but not huge dropoff to UM, Vandy, and UT) and that any upsets essentially balance out (obviously unlikely).

but have a hard time with that one. I can't see more than 7-5 max, maybe 6-6. Probably the B'ham bowl.
