I saw that but Matt's tweet made it sound like it was a new commit. Surely he would not be tweeting about a month old commit.

The "new" info is that he's 231 now -- up from 205 on his 24/7 profile. Basically, meaning Matt was pointing out all the weight he's gained...

Staley tweeted his height and weight measurement from today at our Big Dawg Camp

Matt was just retweeting his tweet. 6' 7" 237 pounds for a QB is something worth retweeting. I just hope he actually makes it on the football field. He's a damn good basketball player.

Holcombe is very underrated.

24/7 has him rated as a 90 overall. He's not even rated by Scout or Rivals because they haven't even evaluated him yet. Once they do that, I think he will gain some momentum. This is a really good pickup for us and I love that it's another under the radar guy from Tuscaloosa. We've done well with those guys.

I wonder what will happen if Auburn offers him later. Didn't his dad play at Bama? Be interesting to see how Pappa would handle that.

There has been talk that Bama may offer him.

I'm not sure we could hold onto him if they or Auburn offered. But for right now, I'm glad to have him on board. If we could add Gerri Green, that would be a nasty 1-2 punch at LB.

Plus, Deshon Cooper. We're going to have a BIG LB class if we sign all three of those guys. Cooper and Green are both 6'3 to 6'4 and Holcombe is a good size OLB as well. Gotta love the depth we're building up at LB. Our front seven is looking solid for years to come.

Exactly. And LBs with big frames can adjust according to their development @ LB or DE.

Apparently, #STATEmentMADE is our counter to Yahtzee and Freeze's teeth bobbing for fish.

Are there any other potential commits this weekend..

From any of the attendees of the Big Dawg Camp? Haven't really been paying attention to recruiting.

I prefer to check out hot women as opposed to OM fans drooling over HS football players.

Only thing with Jesse Jackson is he tweeted that he decided to wait till after the season to make a decision and that was only about a week ago.

Which helps pass fill the - between baseball and football season, but I haven't been able to keep up with as many things as on previous years. Appreciate it.

Aeris Williams was one of the top targets I saw a while back..

That looked like ours to lose based on proximity to West Point. Looks like the Tom Brewster project could actually bite us in the *** on this one. Hopefully we sell him on something differentiating us from FSU, because they have history on their side.

FSU has a longer streak than the 21 years straight(I believe) that we've currently always had an nfl drafted RB on campus?

He plays the one position that we can puff our chests out about...

I think FSU got a big RB commit this past week too, so that may help us.

Does anyone know if I'm right on that?

Jonathon vickers from Tallahassee, fl. He has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, gt, Louisville, ole miss, and Stanford. I'd say he's an impressive rb from his offer sheet. Stay home aeris!

That should seal the deal

FSU made a strong run but I think they realize that the distance is too much to overcome. Definitely a good development for us
