Really good pick up. I have been hearing alot about this kid on various sites on how well he's been performing and impressing at camps and combines. Mullen doesn't take early commits from everyone, he's pretty selective so Mullen must have really liked what he saw. Also, this gives us some good connections with Jess Lanier. They always seem to produce 2 to 3 D1 players per year....<div>
</div><div>ESPN has him as a 4star and #10 TE overall.</div>

Very good pickup for y'all. Pretty big kid with room for some more good weight. Arkansas recently offered, and if Petrino offered an offensive player you know he is talented. I'd say he probably ends up at tight end or possibly defensive end with how big he is now. Would guess tight end/occasional WR in y'alls offense. Nice get.

He's now NOT on the committed list. All traces of his commitment are gone. Don't know what went down ... or what is up.

He's committed on Scout. Rivals usually takes a day or two. On BDJ he said it was a soft verbal but he likes everything about MSU and has a great relationship with the coaches.

Mullen won't accept him as a commitment until he is finished going to other camps in attempts for other offers. Again let me just say again this is from Steve so.....

2-stars are assigned to everyone not in the top whatever. I think top 50 get 5 stars, the next 200 get 4 stars, next 200 get 3, everyone else gets 2. This is for Scout, if i recall correctly from what Steve said one time.

that of the Chief although it is unclear whether the Chief ever officially committed. Specifically in this case, Mullen offers and the kid commits. But then, when Mullen finds out the kid still plans to attend other camps the commitment is not accepted. This is probably a good strategy as it sends the message to recruits that they should be 100% clear on where they want to go before their commitment will be accepted. Many of them will take a bird in the hand until something better comes along.
