Mullen's putting together a weird *** looking class though. On the other hand, he seems to know what to do with them when he gets them on campus.</p>

We must have gotten shot down by a plan A guy.

But what do I know? I'm just a message board coach.</p>

stefano, do you mean in terms of position? Because based on talent, this is shaping up to be a very good class.<div>
</div><div>And yeah, I'm pretty sure he's going to play OLB. He has the frame and the speed, that's for sure. He won't be playing QB for us.</div>

in Arrington, CJ Johnson, Maiden, Morrow, Whitehead, and Zach Jackson.

Then you've got 4 guys I really like even though they weren't highly recruited in Dak Prescott, Darius Slay, Josh Robinson, and Nick Redmond.

You've got 2 projects in Justin Cox and Bernardrick Mckinney in that they will have to make position changes and are 2 star guys. Then you've got Devonte Scott who may or may not have a commitable offer come signing day.

That leaves 3 guys who are probably borderline SEC types in Knox, Warren, and Fosselman.

That's 16 commits or 15 if you subtract Scott. We need a couple of D-linemen. We need another playmaker at receiver. We could use a Juco LB and a Juco OT. It will be interesting to see how we finish up. I know Tobias Singleton and Leon Mackey are 2 of the most important players left on our board.

Not at all. Just abunch of under the radar guys (and an equal number of really good, highly rated guys). Latelywith every new commit it seems like the first post on here is "New commit . . . anybody heard of this guy?" Good talent evaluators often recruit like this. Petrino comes to mind.

Gotcha. Yeah, we do seem to be finding guys out of nowhere, like Christian Holmes and Archie Muniz last year.<div>
</div><div>And Columbus, I agree with you for the most part, but I think Redmond and Maiden are pretty similar as prospects, and I think you're underestimating Knox. I think he could be a future stud at LT.</div>

when he spoke about recruiting....he said he didnt give a **** about stars in recruitng bc good coaches can coach em up.....now, if i had heard that from crooms, i would have been worried, but looking at what has happened with Mullen over the 2 years, I believe every word he says....he knows what he is doing.....as much as i would love to win the offseason game, i think we will over time....we are getting there....i swear......

archie muniz is going to be a badass btw....

much more athletic than Redmond. I like Redmond, but Maiden has a higher ceiling.

I want to like Knox, but he can't play TE in the SEC, and he is going to have to put on a lot of weight and gain a ton of strength to be a stud LT. He is more like Maiden than Redmond, but again he has a long way to go particularly with lower body strength. It doesn't help that he has been hurt for a month either.

Do not underestimate Matt Balis. Addison Lawrence played the same position and was about the same size and weight as Daniel Knox in high school. Addison is certainly a SEC player and is now around 300 pounds. And Addison didn't have Balis the entire time.

Alabama was making a hard push for him until he was injured. He will be on the offensive line. Don't be suprised if Bama comes calling if they see he is well and need another OL.
