Guy at the bar just told me that we came out to warm up with the throwback throwups and the SEC called and said we could'nt play in them because they didn't have the SEC patch on them.

Can anyone in Charlottesville confirm or is this just bar talk?

Didn't see topic on 1st page

Governor Christie said hell no horizontal stripes make you look fat and vetoed it.

thought you were gonna ask about a place to eat in New Jersey
I actually like the part of New Jersey I've been to. Seems to me that the area surrounding NYC and the shore smear the country's perception of the state (surely we as Mississippians understand), but up in the mountains it's simply beautiful.

NJ is highways, smoke stacks and interstates that nobody can figure out. Ive drive a lot of it and it is probably the worst state Ive ever been through. IE) I didnt drive through the garden state but what I did drive through was an arm pit

I was all about Atlantic City when I lived in Philly. The Pinelands and blueberry/cranberry growing areas can be scenic, too.

The part of NJ I've seen (Piscataway, Rutgers campus, NYC metro area, Newark airport) was an absolute dump.

Was in jersey one time. It was a family vacation and we made a wrong turn in Philly and ended up crossing the river into Trenton...I think. I know it was 5:30 and we were in the height of rush hour. We got in a roundabout from hell (think national lampoon European vacation). Suffice to say we got flipped off several times and finally my dad returned the favor. From then on the middle finger became known as the NJ welcome salute.

Newark is the worst place on earth. Upstate though? We made a weekend drive up to Vernon to go skiing this past December and it was incredible. Maybe it's just that tiny little strip between Long Island, NY and there... but I loved it.

Because the rest of the state sucks so bad I bet it's cheap to buy hunting property there too. Finding a friend in the NYC area to go with though... tough.
