is now at another JUCO- Howard College in Texas. Last I checked, he had only played in 19 games, and really put up very similar numbers to what he did at Grayson.
I don't know what MSU plans to do as far as recruiting him. I highly suspect that MSU would want to try to get him to walk-on if they can because he has a Dad that can afford it, and the fact that I'm not sure that very many people are recruiting him. I do not believe that he has signed with anyone yet.
Now, there is another "mystery JUCO recruit" out there- I'm not sure that it is Palmeiro, though. I would take him if for no other reason than PR. And he does have good size at 6'3", and he is a third baseman, who could also play first or a corner outfield spot, which would fill a need for us. And he was drafted out of high school by the Pirates, so there is potential there. Will he reach it while at MSU if he comes here? I don't know. I wouldn't expect to see him do much until his senior season, and honestly, it might not be a bad idea to RS him. What he needs to learn how to do is hit, but he does have decent power. I think I would definately take a flyer on him and see what happens.
