Going with the Slot T offense this year. Saw it in practice yesterday and is indeed a very fast tempo offense with movement everywhere. No more long times between snaps, a very hurry up offense. With 20 Seniors the experience is there for a change.

Talk about a drastic change. By the way, if anyone wants to check out the Slot T, I encourage you to check out some videos of Liberty Hill in Texas. They are basically renowned for using that offensive formation.

To me, there is an unspoken benefit to any type of hurry up offense. That being that your own defense is used to that pace because of practice. If you run a methodical offense, and you are facing a team that week that uses a fast offense, then you face the burden of recreating it for your own practices. Simply put, if your defense is used to a hurry up, then adjusting to a slower pace is a lot easier than the opposite scenario.

Awesome conceptually. I believe old school gap scheme football is ready to make a huge comeback soon in HS football. It’s so much easier with the personnel that MOST teams bring in on a year to year basis.

what kind of offense have the been running in recent history?

Bay Rivers will be fun to watch. Interested to see how Gloucester impacts the district. Still favor Lafayette to repeat but a lot of good teams at the top
