New Mexico game...

[dawgstudent]

Hearing that first game of Leach era vs New Mexico will be Thursday night as rumored

[MSUDC11]

Willed it into existence! Yes!!!

[ArcherSPS]

Less time to fix concessions? COHEN YOU FOOL!****

Love it! I credit this message board for getting it done. Can't remember who started that thread, but kudos to whoever it was.

Like it bc it gives us an extra day of prep for NC state. I think they'll be better this season

[Shmuley]

Fans will be able to proceed directly from end-of-game traffic cluster 17 to start of workday Friday.

I am normally not one to brag, but I take full credit lol.

As someone who is working that Saturday and going to miss every game that day, I couldn't be more excited. Rare game I'll get to watch live.

[THE Bruce Dickinson]

If it were Saturday it would be too hot to attend anyways*

We can save that one for future weeks

[Trojanbulldog19]

At least it will be a night game. Maybe...

[woozman]

Typically not a fan of Thursday night games because it is already a hassle for me coming up from the coast (8-hrs round trip) on the weekends. One personal plus for this one is that I usually stop in Meridian after night games because Starkville hotels are usually booked and/or overpriced.

Based on this rumor (thanks SPS!) I just easily booked a room at the Mill for that Thursday night at normal pricing.

NC State is playing on Thursday. We play them the following week. Would be good to neutralize their extra days of rest.

[ckDOG]

Good. Way better than the new era kicking off at 11AM and 95 degrees

Prime time air raid debut. I'm for it.

[Dawg1976]

This is a good one to have on Thursday night. Heat factor, won't be a short week of practice as they can be and extra time to prepare for NC State game. And good early exposure.

[BigDog72.sixpack]

Absolutely great idea!!! We'd get the freakin' 11 am kick off on a cool, breezy Labor Day weekend. Do you remember the Southern Miss game??? Take a night game all day long, even if on Thursday night!!

[Seinfeld]

Hoping that the extra prep time is actually a good thing for us this season

[maroonmania]

Curses to whoever started that thread and Cohen if he moves the game. Its a BIG inconvenience for a lot of MSU fans, including myself, to make a Thursday night game which requires 2 days off from work. It would change me from definitely being there to open the Leach era to probably not being there. I don't understand why the SEC program whose average fans have to travel the furthest distance to home games is so willing to play on a Thursday night.
