Thank you for taking the initiative to do this! Due to your painstaking work, for the rest of eternity people can no longer say that Nike owns this logo because they don't. Its really incredible that no one else has ever thought to do this. Honestly, it looks better than the M State logo. Can we go to it, please?

Those look pretty good to me. Have to say, I still like the baseball logo, though.

As for the Nike myth, the ONLY logo they own is the specific interlocking M-S-U we used in the last half of Sherrill's tenure. There's nothing stopping us from using one of the others we've used before (Bellard, Felker and 1st half of Sherrill's tenure) or creating a new one like this one. Templeton used Nike as the scapegoat so he wouldn't catch hell for going to the M-State logo.

But that one isn't terrible. And I might prefer the interlocking logo best because that's what I grew up seeing. Like someone else said in a different thread, I think State should pick one and stick with it. One way or the other.

That's a good thing. But get rid of that gray crap, and the gray uniforms. <div>

And the powers that be are mulling it over. I think it would be awesome for maybe one game a year, maybe two.

I agree, the grey jerseys aren't great, but if you're going to do an "alt" jersey, at least they don't look like high school uniforms.

But y'all are missing a real opportunity if you don't bring it back, at least for some games.

the all gray just looks terrible to me. But that's just me.<div>
</div><div>Powder blue with blue jerseys for most games is what I grew up seeing, with red jerseys for what, the opening game and LSU? I wasn't an Ole Miss fan but I do value tradition and growing up in MS, you did see alot of Ole Miss.</div><div>
</div><div>Only reason MSU changes uniforms over and over is because we have no tradition. Should have stuck with the early 90s Texas A&M style unis once and for all. F**k Croom.</div>

Tuberville's teams never wore the blues, so when Cutcliffe came, the blues seemed to become the big game jerseys. Orgeron was retarded, and Nutt seemed to make the reds the big game jerseys again. Like I said, it seems to change with who is in charge.

....I don't even see the "S" in the middle the way you have it interlocked. All I see is an "I". It's very distracting.

After looking at again, I wish I'd put the entire S in front of the U. Does look kinda funky, I'll agree. But, I stayed a little late after work on Friday of SBW12 just to give u guys something to look at and get some ideas from feedback.......and that's just what I did. I'll take all the ideas in consideration and come up with something else (Monday, I'd imagine).

I gotta lot of ideas but haven't executed any of them. My rebels buddies have been bugging me about doing some so I think I will.

but I LIKE the new M-State. Keep it on the helmet and and never go back to the interlocking logo or the MSJ.<div>
</div><div>We are one of many MSU's but the only M-State. Embrace it or stay in the past with Polkie Pig and his damn typewriter. I'm sure he'd love a dinner date.</div>

But again, I like what we already have. Its who we are.

I think you folks are making too much of this Snow Bowl deal. I think we're just gonna have a white version of the current helmet.

When I went to school the university was into the walking bully and the MSU that looked like it was written by jets. That is why I like the baseball logo. It will always be modern no matter how times change.

I like the baseball logo the most and I think that it looks great on a football helmet. With that being said, we have put a lot of effort into the "Our State" theme and our current logo fits that theme. We should probably just stick with what we have and move on. We have had more exposure lately than we have had in years, maybe ever, we need to makeor"brand"recognizable nation wide. We can't do that if we change logos every 5-10 years, I am all about special uniforms on occasionand a slighttweaking what we have though.

I'd rather you guys get more fired up for LSU and overlook us honestly.<div>
</div><div>But either way, tradition is my favorite part of college football. I liked Ole Miss/LSU on Halloween. Gives the game a new (or old, I should say) twist and reason to watch. You might throw the red on for opening games too. But it's always been blue for MSU as far back as I can remember. </div><div>
</div><div>And the powder blue helmets were the ****. Even I admit that. The unis OM wore under Nutt looked the best in a while except they just needed the powder blue. </div><div>
</div><div>And +!%%*$$ ****, bring back Col Reb and the flag. I'm starting to feel sorry for my OM pals. It's embarrassing and makes you look like chicken ****.</div><div>
</div><div>That's my OM post of the day.</div>

If you like the Confederate flag so much, start making a bunch of maroon and white ones and take them to your games. I have no desire to see Colonel Reb or the Confederate flag associated with Ole Miss ever again. Just because something is a tradition doesn't mean it's a GOOD tradition.

We've had our fill of being the racial whipping boy of Southern athletics and higher education, thanks.

ETA: Fans from other schools love to tell Ole Miss fans how much they like that we play Dixie and how much they miss Col Reb and the flag, like that makes us Old South buddies or something. Very few of those fans, though, would want any of that **** associated with THEIR school. They like knowing someone out there is "fightin' against those PC liberals", but they don't want their name attached to it. I look forward to the day when people stop trying to make Ole Miss the last castle of the confederacy.

100 cocktails to you.

ETA: Political stuff aside. I'm talking uniforms. No need to delve into the inflammatory stuff.
