The SEC can have additional rules beyond NCAA rules. Same reason a school like BYU can have additional rules beyond Big 12 rules and NCAA rules.

It's insane, Sankey is Ok with Kiffin screwing over Ole Miss to abruptly transfer to LSU, but he draws the line at allowing Mitchell to transfer to Kentucky

This has been discussed numerous times. I have ties to KY and UK, and I follow board rules.
The court can say that Mitchell is eligible and there can be no punitive penalties issued based on him playing at any school in the conference. Yes, the court absolutely can define the terms. Section 6 B and C clearly states the SEC can't penalize an institution or a coach.

I can’t stand Capiluoto. I’m a sports fan and he clearly doesn’t give a **** about sports. But for some reason the league members and AD’s agreed to this stuff unanimously. Including LSU who also had several players eligibility and thus their season on the line.

Like someone said earlier if it were Duke it would be crickets. The NCAA has never done Kentucky any favors, ****** needs to be knocked down a peg or two. After all the BS North Carolina* did and got away with the NCAA can suck it. Kentucky always has somebody or some group trying to keep them from recruiting or playing somebody that wouldn’t have a problem playing anywhere else.

Mitchell is having to fight like hell to play because he transferred to late but everything I hear about Aden Holloway is he'll be playing this year after getting caught with over 2 pounds of weed but he'll probably have less hoops to jump through than Mitchell does to play.

Just wait, the SEC will get lawsuits out the wazoo too. LSU, UK will sue. I heard Missouri as well. It’s far from over but they could all end this silliness and just except this class and move on with the rules next year but nooooooo.
