Must we go through this.....really?

Bear had better players than everyone else so clock management and play calling were not so important back then. Most recently, I am reminded of coach Polk and his limited success in the 80's and reluctance to ever change his strategy.

Our success with our past two football coaches has been predicated on two things, big bruising offensive lines or multiple NFL caliber players on defense. I see neither for us in the immediate future which makes me wonder why not change the strategy. Coach Croom has proven time and time again to be very stubborn and reluctant to change anything. We need to go in another direction. I hope our AD makes a good decision here. Changing offensive coordinators will change nothing as we saw with coach Sherrill..........to think otherwise is stupid.

I agree. Changing coordinators under Crxxm won't change the offense. However, the philopsy of recruiting the best athletes to play defense and using a conservative offense to play field position is a good plan for State. Sherrill stuck to this plan. Crxxm has not recruited enough quality athletes and does not exactly follow the model from week to week.

Crxxm's offense is to break out his version of the WCO vs teams that he feels has lesser talent. Other weeks, follow your model for teams he feels has greater talent. Which seems like backwards thinking to me. Oh, and it is not a long pass on third down. It is a short pass. </p>

if croom really wants to line it up and run over people in the SEC, he needs jackie's linemen. our current starting line is (from left to right) 298, 290, 290, 315, and 286. i would venture to say that this line would be the smallest jackie sherrill ever had at msu, or at least after he got "his guys" in.

i want the fatties back. give me porkchop. bring back randy "10 16 oz steaks at quincy's" thomas. robert hicks - 6'8", 334, where have you gone? david stewart, hell, i'll even take kendall watkins and terrance mccaskey.
