Beautiful>>>
You hang out with a bunch of Ole Miss folks. You are obnoxious as hell, and talk much **** to them. So when things happen, they come back at you with the obnoxious **** talking. This drives you 17ing crazy, so you take it out on things you really don't know that much about, but think you do, like recruiting and evaluating football talent. It's the kind of behavior that gets a drink dumped on your head by a fat OM ***** in the grove outside the porta-pottys. No?

Interesting

I'm guessing that because Mullen beat Ole Miss again, the party line has again shifted from "Mullen can't recruit" to "stars don't matter."

Well, I am certainly looking forward to future nailbiters with Bowling Green and Kentucky.

I think some of the "party lines" are drawn more by the fire Mullen vs the patience with him crowds and the agendas depending on the topics follow those lines. So you probably have two party lines if you look at it that way.

31, 27, 16, 12. That was the recruiting rankings (247) for Alabama the four years prior to their first national title. Rankings matter but its still more about getting good players for your system and them buying in to what you are doing.

We will NOT consistently sign top level talent. We will sign a couple per year, but the rest of the class will be guys that we will evaluate and develop through our program. There is nothing wrong with that. Mullen has done really well adding depth and talent on our team. I am a little frustrated with recruiting, due to ranking and all that **** , but I am beginning to trust a coaches evaluation of a player instead of some fat white guy in Minnesota who watches film and says he's a 5.8 4* instead of a 5.7 3*. They don't know. It isn't an exact science. There is more talent around the nation and more of it is better developed and college ready due to increased coaching clinics, camps and increased media attention/video on players. This isn't 1985. It's what we are having to do right now. When we continue to show more consistency winning for a sustained period of time, recruiting will get a little easier. We have some ins with some of the 2015 class members and some of your dicks will get hard about those stars.

You are fooling yourself. Rivalry games are different. The most talented team doesn't always win. When it is talent vs. talent, we get the LSU, A&M, Alabama, etc. results. Dan has yet to beat an SEC team that finished the season with a winning SEC record.

If we have "done really well" lately, you have set the bar pretty low. Beating cupcake OOC teams and bottom dweller conference teams like Ark, Ky, OM does not prove that we don't need better talent. If all we want to do is sneak into a crappy bowl every year, fine, but some of us want to beat a ranked team every now and then, and we have not had the talent to do that, except in our rivalry game.

If you don't know what Mullen is doing recruiting then you haven't been paying

Uh, maybe because some of us aspire to do more than continually beat up on the bottom feeders like them, UK, etc. The ONLY way we can do that is by getting top level talent, which up to this point, Dan has not been able to do consistently.

attention. He's building a redshirt program. We just aren't going to sign top talent year end and year out no matter who the damn coach is and Mullen knows this. That's why he takes 2* and low 3* because after a redshirt year they are really 3 star and 4 star recruits.

^this

Assclown cannot form his/her own opinion so he/she has to bring the **** he/she gathers from his/her OM buddies and the recruiting "experts" over here. It's hilarious bc not just does his/her username suck, but their threads/posts. Look back and I'm guessing 80% of them are "murl3NZ caint cruit!". Yet, when threads are started about the 2015 class, he/she does not make ONE single posts in any of them. I'm about certain he/she's a rebel or just a complete miserable, unbearable dubmass.

Looking at some of the OL commits we have right now I would imagine this guy is being brought in to play center. 6'3" at center isn't horrible.

He has about the same measurables as Jeff Saturday, and with us going back to a spread option offense I would imagine this is the type of guy Mullen's offense is going to need. Athletes who play OL. What this guy brings to our team probably doesn't factor into OL rankings. Not saying he's the next Saturday, but if he's a freak athlete at 6'3" 310 lbs like everyone's saying he is then bring him in. Worst case scenario he ends up at a JUCO after one year and we use his scholarship for a different player in 2016. Can't keep every scholarship player from every class anyway.

Anyway, we're not going to get highly touted OL to come to MSU from other states when we're not famous for having the Mannings or having a crazy awesome passing/running attack in the traditional sense.

Plus it seems like more OL come into the NFL from **** schools anyway, more so than any other position. Most notably the most recent #1 pick. Just goes back to saying like someone else did about how OL is the hardest position to evaluate.
