And this happens a lot in our world today. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, people assume that public figures are only capable of single-tasking. So since Dan is showing some pride, and yes a little arrogance, in his program that must be taking all of his time away from recruiting. What kind of ******** is that? I admit our recruiting needs to improve, and now that the NCAA has made cheating legal again we should be able to take care of that, but once the roster is set there is no good reason for our coach to hang his head and pretend the season is doomed because he didn't get all the players he wanted.
This year is playing out exactly as I expected. We lost some really good players to the NFL and graduation in some key areas. And while we are improving every week we have had losses on the lines that we could not easily shrug off. We just don't have enough depth. But Dan is building a program not just trying to win today. If you want an example of that head on over to Ole Miss and see how that is working out.
