My personal opinion is I wouldn't have had my two year old in any sort of lake water at 9 PM. He's TWO, not 6, not 7, not 10, TWO. To hell with alligators, anyone ever heard of snakes? The world is a dangerous place for a two year old.

At the same time Disney owns a resort for tourist and their families that pay 600+ a night and there is no alligator awareness, no signs pointing to alligators, no restrictions on being around the edge line at night (thats how GD alligators feed half the time), no lights at the edge of the water at night, and no one looking out for the potential of an alligator getting near the resort beach area. That is INSANE. You can't even sit at a baseball game without reading warnings about foul balls, but pre-historic, known man eating apex predators? No need to scare people.

When we dive we get training on all animals that could be harmful, including sharks. When I'm using services to camp in yellowstone, you go through a process about bear awareness. When camping and rappelling in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, we had an hour long discussion on the way to the site about bears. To this day I know if I see one, head down the hill.

Disney World will pay a heavy price for this and they should. The lawsuit will be settled quietly and quickly.

Sometimes there's two wrongs.

Agree 100% with all of it. And really..... the bottom line is that you can't be letting a 2 year old play in or at the edge of a lake/pond/whatever at pretty much any time of the day let alone at 9 PM in Florida when it is pretty much dark.

Loved Faces of Death, we used to rent the movies on Friday nights when we were in grade school and follow them up with some Jason movies, My Bloody Valentine, etc. I remember the episode watching people eat monkey brains after taking off the tops of their heads.

Hell yes Blueballz, that's exactly why I wanted to try to eat monkey brains.

Faces of Death. Incredible.
