Serious question. Why link the athletic teams to the schools? Make them all club and play wherever you want and they want you. Rent the schools facilities and rent their mascot name if you want. Make how ever many classes you want and teams move up and down every year based on performance. I'll root for my local team regardless of what school the players go to during the day. If some clubs only want to let in players that go to a certain school, good for them. If others want to recruit and players are willing to travel to practice, good for them. Success will rise to the top.
